I think it's funny that a bunch of gamers will tune into a football game to watch the commercials in this case hehe. The game is just something they will have to watch.

Almost as if the commercial in this case is advertising the football game!

(of course this only applies to the die-hard Halo fans)

withstand a hit by Joey Porter?!?!?!?! Hey, Joysiq, Porter's a wide receiver, which means he plays on offense. Which means he don't hit nobody. And, plus, he's Joey Porter, which means he'd be too worried about messing with his perfectly sculpted body to hit you in any case. freaking WR's in the NFL these days. don't even get me started. buncha primadonna's

You're obviously not a Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers fan, elvisizer, but thanks for reading! - Alan

Just one question. Where did all the color go? I mean, his suit is supposed to be green. Right? The most color I see is the yellow reflection of the visor and a really pale blue sky. Otherwise it's in B&W.

Hey elvisizer,

Joey Porter is a LB for Pittsburgh, a very large one. A hit from him would probably paralyze most people. You are think of Jerry Porter, who happens to be a WR for Oakland.

@ elvisizer

You really should not comment on things for which you have no knowledge. Joey Porter is a linebacker for the steelers, very capable of laying someone out.

first off why would you sit through some crap ass football when this commercial will be on youtube right afterwards

secondoly its not even a commercial of gameplay sigh I could draw a picture of halo 3 using crayons and it would be the same thing as this commercial.

As #1 said get back to work on the title

shitski, forgot that there are, in fact, two joey porters in the NFL- the oakland WR i was referring to, and the Pittsburgh LB that Darkness reminded me about. Sorry, joystiq!

I'm already antsy to see what all 3 companies do regarding Super Bowl commercials...

I smell some sweet ads coming from all 3 camps.

You do know it all of it will be CGI right. More than likely the game will look like it but still I want actual in game footage.

Jeez, darkness, how embarrassing. I was only thinking of the joey in oakland, totally forgot that there's another one in the NFL. Sorry, joystiq!

@1. They have to hype the game, Microsoft shot themselves in the foot by outdoing their best franchise with Gear of War.

I was about to make a snide comment about CG renders and then I remebered how pretty GoW is. How the hell am I supposed to make broad assumptions about graphics now?

"first off why would you sit through some crap ass football when this commercial will be on youtube right afterwards "

First, because football rules. Second, because YouTube is low-res garbage. That's like saying why watch that same football game in HD when I can watch it in SD. I'd like to see the commercial on my huge HD screen.

I'd also like to see the commercial because it might show some aspects of the story, the environments, the weapons, etc, that will be in the final game. Yeah, it's in CG, but so was the Killzone trailer and look at how far it got them. MASSIVE hype, and that's for a crap franchise mind you. Sony proved right there that you can sell people on CG. Hype is all MS is going for, and that's exactly what it will get them. Put a reminder in people heads during all this PS3 and Wii hype that hey...don't forget...Halo 3 is coming.

elvisizer: as Darkness said, Joey Porter plays on DEFENSE. he hits people, and he hits them hard.

and it's not so much WRs, infact more and more WRs are actually being used for hitting/blocking purposes.

it's the QBs who are pussified.

as for the halo ad- looks good, cant wait to see it.

You really don't want to get hit by Richard Seymour either, lest you value your internal organs. That's 6'6", 300-plus pounds of hurt comin' atcha.

Unless of course, you're drivin' a Warthog.

Why waste my time and torture myself by watching one of the most nonsensical sports in the world for 60 seconds of CGI (if it actually had some gameplay, that might actually convince me to watch it)? It'll be online by the next day so why bother
