You hate to see anyone lose(or get demoted) thier job but these guy's at Sony lied and lied again about the dibacle that is the PS34. Listen I was able to get one and I'm very happy to own ALL 3 systems but Sony has shot themselfs in the foot with this launch, I thought they would have taken what happened with the PS2 and learned from it!! Just look at the next six months of games for the PS3....Nothing...Nada.....if the fans are lucky they'll get 3-4 games!! Thanks Sony you really know how to take care of your fan base!!!

I agree with Richard; I love what the 360 has to offer, but I really got into gaming with the Sony Playstation. It seems now that Sony let all the popularity and sales figures get to their heads, and now assume that if you had a PS2, you'd do anything to get your hands on the PS3.

They really haven't paid enough attention to the competition, probably because they didn't have to last time. Microsoft and Nintendo, being the underdogs this time last year, have really pulled together for the fans. Although I'm totally against region-restricted content, I feel, as a fan of the Xbox and 360, that I'm being listened to when we ask for patches, updates, and new features on Xbox live.

All the reasons Sony has let the fans and gamers down is are the same reasons I plan on buying a PS3, but probably not until the middle to end of the systems life span. That way you get a decent price cut, hopefully, and a possible newer and sleeker model. I'll stick to my 360, the great games already released on it and the great games coming out over the next year.

So... why is Harai being promoted? The guy is as dumb as driveway gravel...

But yes, I agree with you Dustin. I sometimes wonder why Sony has such a fervant fan base, because they treat them like crap. I'm beginning to think of Sony Fanboys as battered women.

I think people need to realize that Sony's supposed genius is entirely to the credit of the developers that have worked with them.

They used to be known for their excellent electronics about a decade ago. Now the expensive cost has simply become a premium paid for the brand. Their tactics seem now the use expensive promotional media and deceptive tactics to hype rabid and, in my opinion an unfounded desire for their product.

In a few years I have no doubt there will be some developer who has figured out the cryptic process to fully utilize Cell processing. At that point perhaps we will see this "4D" Ken keeps talking about. Until then you'll be looking at the washed out and soft renderings of ports from other consoles.

Dan, you missed the point. Sure, it's "technically" a promotion, but they just wanted him out of that seat. We had a professor at my university that they shoved into "chairman" because he was such a horrible instructor but he had a masters and tenure. Same idea with crazy Ken.

Many executives in Japan used to get laid off by getting moved to an office with a view out the window--to watch birds and to do nothing else. Because of their belief in "lifetime employment," corporations used such measures to effectively fire people. This doesn't happen as much anymore (There is a greater willingness to fire people in Japan now), but Sony still can't outright fire somebody like Kutaragi without losing face.

I grew up with knowing Sony had probably the best a/v gear, But now Samsung makes their panels, copied JVC for rear projection, Apple reinvented the Walkman, and putting products out that are not ready. one thing i do know this is not the Sony i grew up with. And i mis that.
