Somehow- that's the same exact impression it left me with. It made me hate the 360 a little more than I should. That's not to say watching some of the interviews for people standing in line for the wii made me feel the same way.

The way MS markets their consoles (the sole reason why I exist to hate the Xbox brand, while still liking some of the games it produces) is very degrading to the competition, they are not as blatant about it as SEGA was back in the day, but this video is certainly a step in that direction

That marketing campaign made me completely abstain from Genesis, it wasn't until Saturn that i became a SEGA fanboy (while still remaining the Ninty/Hudson fanboy that i had been)

Halo 3 is not an argument. Has anyone played Halo 1 and 2, not as great as people make it. Seriously, Half-Life literally kills that game.

And, it can do it while running managed code, using only a single core, and at high frame rates.

I feel quite a bit stupider for having watched this video.

How is this "Microsoft Produced?" I can't imagine Microsoft actually endorses this video considering first and foremost that the voice talent is absolutely horrible. Microsoft is pretty clever with their marketing and I can't imagine that they would invest any time or money whatsoever into producing such a bad video.

#25 says that she works for the channel 10 community etc. etc. but that she wrote the song and filmed it in their home. That isn't "Microsoft Produced" really. I'm sure once the marketing staff at Microsoft see this abomination they are going to make every attempt possible to pull it.

This video could have been great... the lyrics aren't even that bad... but the performance... it's very disapointing.

However, I still believe they are not at all related to the marketing department.

*What did you expect?* This is a joke - it's not a serious production. Laura clearly isn't trying to build a career out of doing parody videos. It's just something she did for kicks.

As for the speculation about whether or not this came from Microsoft - what does it matter? It's just Laura having fun. I can't speak for her, but I'm sure she still digs the Wii and whatever - if you read the actual post, you'll see she's just playing around. I'm amazed at the level of analysis you people are putting into this. You talk about how it wasted a couple minutes of your life, and then you go out of your way to talk about it, wasting even more of your precious time (what are you doing that's so important anyway?).

One thing I can definitely tell you is that this is *not* an official Xbox marketing effort. The people I've worked with from the Xbox team are very careful about not talking about the competition. They all have experience in many areas and have a lot of respect for what other people are doing. Laura does, too, but apparently many of you are wound so tightly that you can't see how she could have a little fun *and* still dig the competition.

For the last time - this is *not* a serious dig at either the PS3 or Wii. They're both good systems (especially the Wii), but Laura wanted to give the 360 a little love in a fun, low-budget way.

What have the rest of you ever contributed besides your armchair observations about a "multi-billion dollar company" and the ways of its marketing department (that you don't even understand)?

Your fanboy love for other consoles is safe and sound - nobody - not even Laura - can take that away from you.
