haha can I delete that last sentence it came out more retarded than it was sposed to lol.

I guess my point was that I think a big chunk of the entertainment industry gets tied up in advertising, which file sharing takes care of for free, like word of mouth.

good thing i have a lot of game compilations, and animal crossing for gamecube, and my n64 works fine, so i can say screw it on VC for now, i'll consider getting a few games like super mario all-stars, thats a good deal, 4 nes games for $8. they should really start making GB and GBC for VC, since the lack of GB player compatability, some 32X, sega CD, saturn, dreamcast, and some more games from N64, they already have ratings

@ kelekod

I have a classic controller. It's actually pretty good with the exception that you can't use it for GC games and you have to plug it into the Wiimote which is just retarded. Look at the Wii launch line-up. I have Zelda, Call of Duty 3, I had Red Steel until I took that piece of #$%^ back to the store, Tony Hawk and ExciteTRuck. It's not like I didn't buy games for it.

Now with that in mind, Zelda is awesome...period. But Call of Duty 3 is a double-edged sword. It offers the BEST controls of all three next gen versions but has no multi-play what-so-ever. Even crap ass Red Steel gives you four-player-split. Nintendo still dropped the ball with no online multi-play at launch which just kills the longevity of games like ExciteTruck, Tony Hawk and a others. No achievements or leaderboards either and general matchmaking with this friend code nonsense is so stupid it's embarrassing...If I were a third party and Nintendo pulled this crap, I would have to reconsider supporting them until they get their heads out of their asses and offer at least the minimal options for an online "enabled" next gen console. That's IF I supported them at all. Come on - Tony Hawk DHJ on DS offers more options (online and off) and modes of play than the full blown Wii version... how the hell can that be?
--------------------------------------------

The VC is a big selling point for me. Nintendo Sega and Hudson not to mention third parties have already made their cash on many of these titles. The American release list for VC is just fleecing a fanbase and taking advantage of uninformed consumers. There's no way in hell we should be paying 5 dollars for a NES game. NES GAMES?! Some of these titles are 20 years old. The Japanese VC list speaks for itself. If Nintendo wanted to make a console that the ex-gamer or older non gamer can get into, then they should have priced it like one and enabled a community, online and off, to easily take advantage of the Wii AT LAUNCH. They didn't. I'm pissed because I see potential in the Wii. But I saw great potential in the Gamecube too but how'd that turn out....

All you people complaining about VC not having games yet had better have allready beaten Zelda! You can't complain about having no games to play if you're still in the middle of what is, in my opinion, the best game of the year, if not the decade.

RC,

I've actually put a ton of money into music (over 3000 CDs and counting, over 200 LPs, and more cassettes than I even want to remember), so many artists have received my cash. My point was most artists make money touring, selling merch at their tours, and the like. I'm a music critic and also used to run my own music mag online and interviewed artists on this matter, and a lot tof times they were happy people were just hearing their music in whatever form. I'm not talking about greedy no-talent hacks like Metallica here. But I have happily used p2p software to get albums the labels are just sitting on and won't reissue.

And you're wrong about me taking option B. As an Xbox 360 user, I've bought 29 games on XBLA, and have bought over 20 disc-based games for my system. At prices between 50 to 70 bucks, I'd say the game makers have made a pretty penny from me. Not to mention all the money I put into (and continue to put into) PS2 games, PS1 games, PC games, and the like.

I love games and music. They're probably my two fave things in life. I've supported the artists and the game makers for as long as I've been able to buy music and games with my own money. If I choose to go the other way sometimes to hear or play something I otherwise can't, so be it.

And yeah, I'd much rather play the real Donkey Kong any time than the crappy NES version ported to the VC that doesn't even include the entire game.

I'm getting so sick and tired of all these consumer fiends who promised themselves a rose garden and now are livid because Nintendo only gave them a fucken tulip.

I'm also sick and tired of these people popping up on VC comments who only have something to say like: 'Screw that, where's [some fucken game]?' or 'Man, they should release [some fucken game]! Fuck you Nintendo!'

And yeah, I'm getting REAL sick and tired about the whole ROM arguments ('It's IL/LEGAL, DAWG!'), the price whining ('5 bucks for Donkey Kong? WTF! I want [some fucken game]!!!') or XBLA skullduggery ('No multiplayer Goldeneye??? Fuck you Nintendo, I like $10 Frogger on XBLA a lot more right now!').

Get over it.
