You make some very valid points. Some missions in the game are annoyingly hard, so hard I wonder if a newbie could even complete them. And the missions get hard very early in the game.
While I understand your critisim of the mission length in VCS vs. LCS, I personally prefered the large multi-branch missions. I would say LCS biggest flaw was its single task missions which made the game feel small in scope, a reversion considering all that had been accomplished in the series since GTA III. In fact, LCS closely resembles GTA III because of it's simplistic mission structure.
I agree with your review, just not how you rate the game. An 8.9 would be more appropriate. But that's the reason life is so subjective -- perception.

Fun game but ooohhh so very buggy!
-textures and models not updating fast enough when driving around. which often resulted in driving in the lowrez environment. when it finally updated you sometimes ended up stuck in the ground. I had to jump over and over again until Vince finally jumped out. Also, regarding the same bug, sometimes you would take a wrong turn at high speed and lose control of your vehicle and were going to hit a building but, nope, you'd drive right through it.

-Probably related to the update bug mentioned above, the empire buildings, one time out of 2 you'd get out of your car, walk to the building to enter but to notice the blue arrow isn't there and neither is the building car. You had to turn around, run away from the building then come back and everything was fine.

-Cars in garage. No point in parking it there to keep the car for later as it would disappear. Many times I had parked vehicles I liked in my garage to find it missing later on when I came back.

There were many more but I forget what they were right now.

In VCS, does anyone else have a problem with the chainsaw? When I attack with it, it doesn't make the full revving sound and when I jab it into people on the ground, no blood spurts out like in LCS. WTF???????
