I think one of the kids in the beginning was MC. I also think the other kid could be another spartan to be and it was when they were kidnapped. It may be me but I think they were yelling NOOOOOOO!!! when we first see MC.

#30 said "Halo titles so far have averaged over 7 million copies sold (14.7 million total worldwide sales)... Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, heck even Mario can't claim that."

In the last twenty years, over 160 million Mario games have been sold. A bit of a difference from 7 million.

This commercial looked really cool, and who said it didn't have anything to do with the story. Who was the girl in the flashback? Did Master Cheif have a sister?

has anyone even stopped to consider that the reason why Microsoft hasn't tried the "pass off CGI as Real Time" tactic is because Sony already pulled it at E3 2005, and hardcore gamers know and despise this tactic, therefore it wouldn't be too smart to attempt it anymore?

Sony used the tactic at E3 *2005*. since then, they haven't used it, now have they? every game i've seen from Sony recently (and i'm specifically talking about their First Party efforts), have been presented in realtime form ever since, at the latest, the start of this year.

now that the hardware is finalized, and they know what they can do with the box early on, they've been showing nothing but realtime gameplay and screenshots.

only the young or ignorant or fanboys (amazing how most fanboys tend to fall into the first two categories) will expect the world when a console first is released. like we should know by now, it takes at least two years to start to see what the new consoles can do over the old ones.

i never once expected to be wowed by anything coming out of the PS3 come November (imagine my surprise, however, when i fired up Resistance on November 17, and it well and truly kicked ass. killer apps on day one haven't been seen since the SNES days, really. Halo was a good one for the X Box, and now Sony has one in Resistance on the PS3. oh, wait, i forgot, because Resistance is on the PS3 is automatically sucks, even though most of the people that hold that mentality haven't sat down with it for 30 minutes and played a finished version. but i digress).

Sony has delivered a great console for it's fans. the same can be said for Microsoft and their X Box fans, and Nintendo and their Nintendo fans. you can't be all things to all people. it's not for Sony to please Nintendo fans. it's not for Microsoft to please Sony fans. it's not for Nintendo to please Microsoft fans. they all have their markets, and thus far, their respective markets that have gotten their hands on their preferred console(s) are pleased.

all this bickering and fingerpointing is getting tiring though. who cares if you hate Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo? who cares if i prefer this system over that system? the problem with this world is that everyone is so concerned about what everyone else thinks that they don't stop to consider what it is that truly matters to *THEM*.

if you love Nintendo, awesome. you rock.
if you love Microsoft, awesome. you rock.
if you love Sony, awesome. you rock.

we are all gamers. we should be proud and unified, and stop fighting one another (unless it's competitive online matches). who cares if someone likes or hates your favorite gaming machine(s). all that ultimately matters is what *YOU* enjoy. and stop hating on others that don't share those views. sheesh.

Childhood memory? I'm no expert on Halo, but wasn't Master Chief grown or engineered?

@104 Master Chief was kidnapped as a child and then raised in basically boot camp for about 13 years, then was gentically engineered to be super-chief. :D

Well..........actualy I read a long possibale story line for halo3 (it was very belevable)but sorry i forgot where it is....any way it said that th X-button might make it so it changes to an RTS kind of thing where you be cortana and command pelican drops vehical and marine drops and use certan buildings like fuel stations. So basicly you set up an army of sorts then fight with them...This is true that i read this info but i don't know if it is true

Nice freakin' teaser, I watched it 3 times in a row on my friend's X-box right after he got it, I loved it. Idk wtf anyone thinks when they post bad reviews on this cuz they're crazy, but that teaser was the last straw, I'm getting a 360 as soon as that game comes out. I hope the entire game is going to be like that, because if it is, that is going to be freaking amazing.

I love that, so much more than the other. And I loved that teaser. I love the way the kid looks over, and sees the helmet, which turns out to be Chiefs point of view. The AR is going to be so mean, it looks awesome. And that end bit at the end, him jumping into a bunch of brutes(?), just like the end of the Halo2 trailer, heavily outnumbered, but he'd rather give 'em hell than anything else, and he's sure good at that.
