Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam is actually a really good game. There are problems, and it takes a while to get to the good part, but as a game that takes advantage of the remote it's fantastic.

In fact, THDJ feels a lot like SSX.

They call it 'blur' because of the N64 graphics.

But seriously folks.

Now, what the fuck are you talking about, James? THDJ is a pretty damn good game. Great racer, extensive single player campaign, and oodles of fun. Have you even played the damn game? I think it's even gotten some pretty good reviews.

tony hawk is far from a "butchered" game. i happen to think its pretty fun if your not sitting around crying about how it's not like the other games in the series. it's a racing game for the most part. it's fast, controls well and is simple fun. give it a break. ssx should be awesome as long as "EA" doesn't kill it like EA always kills all good things.

isn't THDJ essentially SSX on wheels? it only seemed disappointing because of the format change. but there is no need to 'butcher' SSX because it already operates in a way appropriate to the wii control.

I hope Wii fans love half-baked ports of already existing games, because they'll be getting plenty of crap like this.

This was one game i was expecting to see on the PS3 and 360 it would be amazing online. Once again EA fall short. Lets hope they plan to release a new game for the proper consoles

Who says the games not Online. It should be and probably will be. Nintendo is supposed to announce it's online gaming service in January.

I for one can't wait on this one. I think I played SSX3 more than any other game on my Gamecube.

Uh...there's a trailer for the game out and they look fine and could actually be pretty good with another few months of a polish.

Your a fucking idiot Bklynkid. Last weekend they had an extensive gameplay video on spike while Reggie and some other jack-ass were bowling. Also apparently they realeased the name then as well considering they called it by such a title and wind of it is just catching on now. Been there, wasn't impressed, moved on.

Really though, they could have done better than the 75x45 video (looks like it was actually recorded from a camcorder), then shown all stretched out on my high def tv in all it's hideous glory. I couldn't make out what the fuck was going on.

the controls actually do have potential.. tilting the wiimote from side to side for precision turns, using larger gestures or turning the top of the remote for big turns, leaning the top part down to go faster and leaning back for more drag, flicking upwards for jumping, and using the pointer function and buttons in combination for tricks? All pretty cool, if pulled off correctly. Perhaps even one handed play?

I have to say, these graphics look pretty sweet. Whod've thought Wii could catch up to Project 8 so quickly?
