What's up with his ears.. they're huge (even for elvish standards) and they dont match the color of his skin. Its as if they crossed Michael Jackson with an monkey.

I'm sorry, but they f***** up his face. That should be sent back to the drawing board, its hideous! Link's face in the actual N64 game looked better than that.

I'll go ahead and agree with everyone else that his face is completely wrong. That was the first thing that I noticed, and as it stands I wouldn't pay $4.99 for this thing, collectible or not.

Yeah, I am prolly getting the Fierce Deity for Christmas, assuming my husband was doing what he should with my Play Asia wishlist...

But this one? I love this series but wouldn't touch this with a 10-foot pole. Gimme the Samus figure any day.

And whats up with his tunic...is it supposed to be some sort of metal now?

Hey, man, DON'T knock Oni Link. He's everything badass about Link distilled and refined and then made more awesome. Hell, he's even got a laser-sword! In 3D. Can't beat that. Bah, this is just reminding me of why Majora's Mask is my Zelda of all time (well, to be fair I haven't completed Twilight Princess yet ;)

Come on, Nintendo, quit fooling around with the collectible statues. Those are small-time. Make some ACTION FIGURES, for cryin' out loud! I mean, for all the different Zelda games, with all Link's different gadgets, and such, you could have a toy line that rivals BATMAN. Except way more awesome. Doesn't Bandai do that kinda stuff? Don't you already have a working relationshp with Namco?
Sure, there was the Ocarina of Time, figure, but with 3 points of articulation, and a poorly designed shield clip, that was weak.

"Subject to Final Approval" is what it says at the bottom of the picture, so hopefully First4Figures is able to make some improvements here and there to Link. Overall, it's a nice looking statue, but at it's current state, I wouldn't buy it. What I really hope turns out well, is Link vs. Gannondorf. That one might be worth $200 if it looks amazing.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but if his face looks like that and all.. I'd KILL for a beautiful Twilight Princess Link. Hell, with Link as a wolf.. !

They only recently got the Batman toys right (after over 15 YEARS of getting it dead wrong). I mean, is it SO hard to just make a damn Batman action figure with the right color scheme and not some dumb gimmick like "Samurai Batman"?
Sheesh. When I was a kid, that's all I ever wanted was a regular Batman. Then I found one at the comic shop about 18 months ago and bought it right up because I couldn't believe someone finally got it right (and I'm not one of these people who collects toys/action figures)!

Anyhow...what was this about? Zelda? Oh yeah. I'd buy some Zelda action figures if they looked right, too. Maybe when Hell freezes over and they release a big budget Zelda movie we'll get some.
This, however, looks great until your get to the face.

They had similar problems with an earlier version of the Fierce Diety Link statue. The original sculpt had a chubby, child-like face (as if they took Young Link's face and slapped it on FD Link). The final product better reflected FD Link.
