Live Arcade challenge: win a plasma HDTV!

Xbox Live is hosting an Arcade contest starting December 17th. If you think you're hot stuff at either Lumines Live or Small Arms, head over to the official tournament page and sign up. The actual contest page is a little fuzzy about the rules and requirements, and we know you don't want to sift through the official rules, so we'll summarize them (because we're cool like that). See the full breakdown of the challenges and their prizes (plasma HDTV!) after the break.

The Lumines challenge: starting on December 17th at 12:01am GMT, the Lumines 60 second time attack leaderboard will be reset. You will have until 11:59pm GMT on December 23rd to rack up the highest score in 60 second time attack. There will be 105 winners in this challenge (based on leaderboard rank). US residents only.

Prizes:

• 1 Grand Prize: Hitachi UltraVision 42" Plasma HDTV
• 4 Runner Ups: HD-DVD bundle and a Wireless Bundle (Wheel, headset)
• 100 tertiary prizes: 500 MS Points
  

The Small Arms challenge: starting on December 24th at 12:01am GMT, the official TrueSkill rankings leaderboard will be reset. You will have until 11:59pm GMT on December 30th to achieve the highest ranking possible in ranked matches on Xbox Live. There will be 105 winners in this challenge (based on leaderboard rank). US residents only.

Prizes:

• 1 Grand Prize: Hitachi UltraVision 42" Plasma HDTV
• 4 Runner Ups: HD-DVD bundle and a Wireless Bundle (Wheel, headset)
• 100 tertiary prizes: Small Arms Theme/GamerPic and 100 MS Points.
