I'm positive if the units were available, the Wii would have outsold the DS. Hell, if they would have put 1 million into the Euro market, every one would have sold.

That being said, I love my DS. Can't wait to get Portrait of Ruin for Christmas.

Are they selling the Noble Pink DS Lites in the States now or is that referring to the Euro sales? The pink DSes that I saw in stores last week were the Corel Pink, but I haven't seen any pink DSes this week.

Oops on the misnomer there. It's just... just... noble pink > coral pink.

And we need Enamel Navy here. I demand Enamel Navy!

I've had a DS for several months, but although I was initially really impressed, where are all the 'great' games since the launch??

We got our Wii on UK launch day, and I have to say I was underwhelmed. The controller is 'quite nice', but not actually very accurate or responsive. It's like using a poor bluetooth mouse. The games (we have Rayman and Zelda) look just like Gamecube games! I do like Rayman a lot, but I couldn't call it next gen.

I'm totally willing to give the Wii a chance to get established, but if the game releases are as poor as the DS, I'll be using my 360 instead. I've found myself using my PSP a lot more recently too.

I think we need a kick-ass light-saber game now!!

It's likely that if stock allowed, the Wii would have sold even more, but none-the-less, DS sales continue to be amazing, proving the point that a strong selection of good games yields good sales.

As for the pink color name, I really don't understand why every region has to have a different box and a different name for the same color. Noble pink sounds the best to me, why don't they just slap that on every box?

Andrew,

If you are disappointed in Wii games because they don't "look" technically amazing, than you have misunderstood the whole point about the Wii. If you are looking for technically good looking games, than yes, by all means, stick with your 360. As for a lack of Wii games, all consoles launch with a small library of games, give it time.

As for the DS library, I'd say you are in a pretty small minority. Games this year have been nothing short of spectacular; with Club House games, New Super Mario Bros., Star Fox Command, Brain Age, Metroid Prime, Final Fantasy 3, Yoshi's Island, Castlevania, Elite Beat Agents, and so much more, there's something for everyone here. What exactly are you looking for in the DS lineup that you aren't getting?

With all due respect,
Fox

I find it interesting that you refer to the DS as "the little handheld that could"

I'm pretty sure the GBA never got such a peculiar monicker

I think DS fanboys (like myself) have an odd sense of almost arrogance over the fact that EVERYONE had their money on the PSP, until 2006, now by the end of the year, we all think the PSP's dead

wierd, huh?

I bought a PSP around its launch. I was so glazed over from the pretty graphics that I sold my "worthless" DS. Three months later I bought another DS and quickly put my PSP down for nearly nine months before selling it and my Phat for a Lite.

I agree with Mr. Khan, who woulda thunk it?

Wii remotes are unresponsive and inaccurate? I've not had that sort of problem.

I second that Enamel Navy thing. I was holding off on getting a DS until it came stateside, but eventually caved and got Onyx. Pretty nice, but no substitute for Enamel Navy. I have to LOL at my friend though, he imported an Enamel Navy this summer but he doesn't have any games. He's a huge FF fan though, so he might get FF3 I guess. Unless he find pictochat really engaging... Funny how the manual actually suggests ways to "play games" with pictochat. Ah, but who RTFMs these days?

"Wii remotes are unresponsive and inaccurate? I've not had that sort of problem."

Me neither, my neighbor has a Wii (i get mine for x-mas) and we play tennis every weekend for hours and I've had zero problems with it.

That being said, if someone is having problems with their remote, it could just be broken. The Wiimote that came with my neighbors Wii really was broken. It would only pick up one of the IR LEDs in the sensor bar and would jump around the screen and was very sluggish. That was easily fixed with Nintendo's warranty though.
