Back compat update: Conker, Psychonauts!

Sweet. And I'm sorry if this has already been said, but is Mercenaries ever going to make it to the 360? It is now basically the only reason i haven't gotten rid of my old xbox.

I only need two more games for them to add, Tony Hawk Underground and Deus Ex: Invisible War, come on Microsoft please hurry up! Thanks for shenmue 2 and psychonauts being added though.

What makes Psychonauts so good? I hear so many people talking about it. It doesnt look that good when I pick up the box

I tend to agree with #1. I'm in a Merc fun fest right now, replaying it again. Heck, I like the way my other 360 games look on the 360 - it'd be nice if Mercenaries would show up.

Of course, it'd be nice if your T-54 tank could actually run over a freaking tree like in real life, too, but what do you want?

(Jennifer Lui with TWO sniper rifles - no ammo shortages there - makes for nice play.)

This is easily the best BC update ever released. I've been waiting forever for Conker and Psychonauts. I can't wait to play through Conker again.

One thing about it, though, is that my Conker is stuck in 4:3. I haven't played the game since I got my HDTV, but it is advertised on the back of the case as being 480i. Is it meant to run 16:9?

Great list.. Indigo Prophecy, Buffy and Destroy All Humans are fun additions.

I'd like to see Star Wars: Republic Commando added as well as Freedom Fighters

Very nice, this is probably the best backwards compatibility update to come out so far, because it actually adds games vast majority of people have been requesting, such as Conker, Shenmue 2, etc. But one thing I don't understand, why is Double Agent on there? Its been out on Xbox 360 for awhile...

Double Agent is on there because it is referring to the original Xbox version. Plenty of people who are invested in Xbox libraries aren't going to buy the Xbox 360 version of the same game unless there is some really extraordinary difference. No doubt the Xbox 360 version is better but with the enhancements typically given to BC games, the version already owned might be quite satisfying running on the 360 in 720p.

Thus the expanding BC list increases the viability of an Xbox 360 purchase for those Xbox owners who have yet to take the plunge. At the same time, those Xbox games with no Xbox 360 version but BC supported add to the 360's value for those who never owned the Xbox.

Its a well put together quirky platformer made by one of the fathers of gaming. Tim Schafer. Not to mention its one of the funniest games of all time.

Soul Calibur II works great at 720p. However, its still 4:3 and not widescreen. Go figure.

Because of software modification, MechAssult was one of the three games that had exploits that people used to allow software modification of the original Xbox, and I am sure they don't want people doing the same to the emulator somehow. Unless they can figure out how to update (which fixes that exploit) the game or force an update on the game before it runs.

Though I don't understand why they couldn't make MechAssult 2 compatible...

Also, because the Xbox and Xbox 360 versions of SC:DA were developed by two different teams, the games are completely different, as well as the style of co-op from Chaos Theory is on the Xbox SC:DA.

I'm still waiting for MK: Shaolin Monks to be released so I can play MKII. They should've released MKII in the first place.

OMG.. they added MX unleashed. Such a non-popular game of mine that I thought it woiuld never be playable. Now I only need 2 more games added and I have my entire xbox game library playable. These games are of course tony hawk underground 2 and tony hawk 2x. I can see underground being added sometime in the future but what about the ill forgotten 2x? Will that ever be added?

I'm still dying for MVP baseball 06 and 05 to be added...MLB2k7 was a joke and i'm a baseball fiend.

Does this update work a europe xbot 360 console bought from the united Kingdom, because i haven't seen this update on the xb360 eu compatibility site.
