Horribly angled PS3 vs. NES spoof still funny
35
Now before anyone gets their panties in a bunch, step back, take a deep breath, and realize this video is horribly setup to make the PS3 look less fun when compared to 1985's Nintendo Entertainment System. As you can see in its oh-so awesome 80s way, Nintendo wasn't always in favor of stationary homes and gameplay over power. Novel apparatuses and overexcited lifestyle actors still existed, however. Now we're playing with POWER!!!

You know, Wii Play is pretty much Duck Hunt. And I can't wait to play it. Look at how far we haven't come in 20 years.
Posted: Dec 15th 2006 1:52AM (Unverified) said
@3 Not really. There's only game in there that's like Duck Hunt. The rest is stuff like table tennis, air hockey, fishing, billiards, and a couple Miicentric games.

See, now that's funny. How can anyone not laugh at a house rocketing into space? Or kids jumping around like that?

Ah, I remember when my house rocketed off into space. My mom got so mad at me. Ah memories. I was playing with power then.

@ 10
Back around 1984, the market was extremely wary of video games after what happened to the Atari 2600. R.O.B. was created as a marketing ploy developed by Nintendo to fool parents into thinking the NES system was a toy. Of course, it didn't fool the kids, but it sure fooled a lot of parents. XD

Wow. That IS what it's like to play the NES. Why are people wasting their money on next-gen (or current-gen =) systems when we can all be chillin' in space with ROB the Robot?
Posted: Dec 15th 2006 9:08AM (Unverified) said
wow that was most excellent and true. I mean the NES is more fun than most new systems not to mention the one that sony decided to end their career with.

I'm not sure if you meant that sarcastically or seriously. But you know now that I think about it, the NES was a lot more fun than current/next gen systems. I mean I like playing Halo, Gears, and Grand Theft Auto. But remember how much fun it was to just stay up playing the latest Mario iteration? Come on, whenever people ask what your all time favorite game is it's usually something from the NES, Metroid, Zelda, Mario. That is if the person was alive and playing games during that era. Originally the reason "next-gen" was such a big deal and more computing horsepower was so important was because it advanced gameplay. Games were able to be more indepth, new ways to play were made, advancements was to save your game even. Now it seems the only real thing "next-gen" does is make things look better. More "realistic". How about just making us better games!
So yes, long live the NES!

Wow, Maximus, you sound a little salty. Could it be cuz you spent almost a grand on a PS3 and a few games and are already bored? That's why I named my dick Maximus when Gladiator came out, so choke on my Ninteno fanboy dick while you're waiting for something decent to come out on yet another piece of trash made by Sony.

Ahhh, Gyromite. That game was frustating as hell! Like keeping spinning plates on sticks. Wonder why they didn't make more ROB games....
It's good to see Hogan's Alley in that commercial too. Duck Hunt gets all the retro love, but Hogan's Alley was a much better light gun game.

tisk tisk, TDubby, I though we were here to talk about the Wii and PS3, not about your fantasies of having dick in your mouth, it's ok though, that happens to boys going through puberty. Go off and play with your Wii, the big boys are talking games.

LAME!
