Hi Joystiq and readers... I have a question... What is the name of a NES Videogame, that the main character is a bold and fatty guy (it looks a little like Abobo) Is all I can remember... I havent played this game for about 15 years... (I just find other videogame that I was looking for... Nes Monster Party... ahhh brings me some nice memories...)

Re Eric's comment:

Yeah, the act of comparing the world-shaking terror of the Third Reich to Sony's feeble and transparently witless attempts at engaging an online fanbase is pretty much grasping at infinitesimally tiny straws -- straws suitable only for the soda-sipping of the tinest of nanites.

Not to mention that the RPG.tv artist consistently and shamelessly rips off the art style and general tone of the Family Guy, which is itself a shameless rip off of the Simpsons.

And we were talking about getting rid of Penny Arcade?

I couldn't vote for Perry Bible Fellowship just because of its shameful ripoff of The Simpsons.

The correct answer for this week was Dueling Analogs, better luck next time for those of you who got it wrong.

Extra Life only has one word, but that is enough to make me laugh out loud...

Also this should have been included for fanboyz...

I vote for PBF for one reason and one reason only. It is one of the smarter web comics around.
I can't say if he saw the Simposns episode before he drew that, even so it's funny.
I love that strip

Did you check out the rest of the PBF site? The guy's pretty damned original.

Great fella too. I actually was in an improv group with him in college.

Oh c'mon, Digital Unrest was great! Rudolph, as a Wii remote sensor, brilliant. I also like Dueling Analogs and Fanboys Online.

Now I'm gonna go on a rant. My main problem is this whole Penny Arcade thing. It might have seemed modest of Gabe to mention that the Webcomic doesn't need to be in the Wrapup anymore, But his comment about how they should include the post, actually comes off as arrogant. Most webcomics that are in the Wrapup have a little blog on the same page as the strip, but not all. Last weeks winner Lucid TV has an Updates page, why wasn't that put in? I'm not saying that you should, I'm just saying once you put in a comics news post it starts a slippery slope. Don't get me wrong I like the occasional PA strip, but it IS different from the news post. I don't care if he is the artist, that doesn't mean he can say what his comic is or not. Yes, the post reflects the opinion in the strip, but this is best Weekly WEBCOMIC Wrapup. We are voting for the best comic of the week, no matter what Gabe says. If the posts are so important to them why don't we have a best gaming related post(not counting Joystiq) of the week? It's not fair that we are supposed to judge one strip just by its comic, and another on two different things.

To number 8: unless the question is "Which webcomic is so terrible it shouldn't exist?" then the answer is not "Dueling Analogs."

With penny arcade I feel that the comic compliments the news post. It's not strictly a webcomic. In fact, I think it's less of a webcomic and more of a gaming news/opinions site.

Personally, I don't even think it should be a weekly webcomic poll. Keep it exactly the same only - the voting. If it wasn't for the weekly webcomic wrapup I wouldn't really be reading any of these. And I think that's the important thing.

@Eric and Strange: Oh, STFU for God's sake. As if such thought was put into it. A joke is a joke and it should be taken as such, political correctness FTL.

I'd give this week to MyExtraLife, I just got a good chuckle out of that one. Props to DuelingAnalogs for theirs and F@Nb0Y$ for truth...

I think we should add Hail-NekoYasha's comics ( http://hail-nekoyasha.deviantart.com/gallery/ ).
This week's is pretty good:

penny arcade was the funniest, but rpgtv was close in funniness and the hitler kicking over a sand castle joke put it over the edge.

With all the concern over Penny Arcade having an unfair advantage because of general popularity, I really believe that some people are voting for other comics now just to vote against it.

Most of the comics this week fell into the "ass" to "mediocre" categories. PA and Extra Life were clearly the best, closely followed by Digital Unrest. It's a matter of opinion, of course.. but I really just think people are purposely voting for not-Penny Arcade just to go against the grain.

Talk about skewed.
