Question is will we be drooling over polygonal breast? Me thinks not. Me thinks perhaps we'll be drooling over coma inducing gameplay.

Damn, looks like the next iteration of the franchise is gonna suck, then. Isn't what drove it into the ground in the first place that they started focusing on fanservice rather than kick arse action/platformery gameplay?

Just when you thought the series had taken a step in the right direction they take two steps backwards trying to convince people based only on sex appeal. Granted sex sells, we all know this and can say it has influenced us at one time or another but come on man. The last Tomb Raider game was really fun and it had little to do with a sexy main character and more to do with the game play. Well here's hoping they don't completely screw the series over again.

@ 4

What gives you the idea that Angelina, amidst her busy schedule of adopting third-world-kids and letting Brad give her brumskis, will make time to “be involved” in this game or a future tomb raider movie? If all you want is some fapping material then go rent Original Sin.

I doubt it. Any woman, polygon or not, is going to make me drool with the sheer ridiculousness of Lara's proportions.

Let's see:
Collagen injected lips - fugly.
Giraffe Legs - disturbing.
Softball size gap between the thighs - disgusting.

Her lips look they were ripped off a cheap stripper. Proportionately, she got the legs of a nine-foot woman, putting her equator well below her waist. And she's got the body-build of an anorexic crack whore.

Call me when she doesn't look like the illegitimate lovechild of giraffe and twiggy crack whore porn star.

First of all, the article gives me the idea of Angelina having time to be involved. She might not be, but that's where I got the idea from.

Second, I need new fapping material thank you very much.

when are they going to let this franchise die?

it's not what it used to be and even then i'd give it a 7/10 at most.

in fact i don't even want to hear the name Eidos ever agian unless it's followed by "new legacy of kain"
if they're not going to make a new one, do the world a favor and sell the rights to someone competent enough TO do it, then fold.

god forbid we have to start watching warner bros' movie to video game adaptations come from this company.

And to top it all off, there's a Tomb-Raider Branded Theme park ride opening up at Adventure world, a small theme park in Western Australia. Yes, and I'm gonna go see it. :P

The lead art designer at Eidos came to our school and showed us screens from it a couple weeks ago for some career day thing. He said it is a remake of the original game for Xbox 360.

Come on, we don't want a more "beautiful" Lara Croft (I mean not unless you are 13 or something) I was a fan of the original game and not once was it because of "Lara" it was because of the exploratory/captivating gameplay.

Get your priorities right, stop making Lara (and her thousands of new moves) a priority, and make a decent game instead, that's what true gamers really want!

Aaaaand that's what you get when you let an executive talk about a product he clearly does not understand. He sells up the one point that can hold his attention - boobies. He utterly fails to grasp that what allowed Tomb Raider Legends to drag the series up out of the "Turokesque Laughability" category and right up into the "Best Damn Games Of The Year" category wasn't bouncing boobies or giggling booties, but solid, infectious gameplay and worthwhile geography puzzles.

However they make her look, I hope Crystal Dynamics is still on the case for this one. I never cared for the Tomb Raider franchise and never understood why it was so popular (other than it featured a sexy cartoon woman), but TR Legend, the last one, was a blast to play. Great game.

Does this mark an end to their policy of having them written by retarded monkeys? 'Cause if so the franchise is looking up!

Angelina Jolie is NOT going to be in the movie, or involved at all.

If you read Nintendo Power, one of the last few issues had a short feature on the "new" face of Lara Croft. Some really hot blonde now, instead of a really hot brunette.
