DS Fanboy presents: Game Night (12/19/06)

We've tallied up the votes and our Game Night title has been chosen. We'll be meeting up in the same room as last week, at the same time. All of the details, including the results of the poll determining what game we'll be playing tonight, are after the break.

You guys are really all about the racy Mario Kart action, huh? Well, you voted, and so shall we play. We'll be meeting up in an IRC chat room set up by reader ConstyXIV. The server is irc.freenode.net and the room we'll be in is #dsfanboy. Remember to be in the chat at 8PM EST to take part in the carnage! Come early to get friend codes if you haven't been with us in past weeks, and check this topic for those which get added in the comments.

Maybe someday Clubhouse Games or Tetris will get picked, and I'll be able to play. *wistful sigh*

ya there should be some sort of alternating system so people who dont have mario kart can play

I have Mario Kart, and it's great, but at the very least remove it from the poll next time or we'll never play anything different.

I assume far more people own Mario Kart than the others, but it just seems a bit one-sided. What's wrong with a little variety?

Mario Kart is probably chosen because it's the Wi-Fi enabled game most people have. Just show up in the chat room and ask if anyone wants to play something else.

Booo! I say we pick what game to play in the chatroom, seeing as the people that voted don't ever show up, the consensus in the chat room is a bore of Mario Kart.

Erg. Any way to start the festivities at around 8:30pm EST, or better yet @ 9 or so? Many of us west-coasters (read: me) are getting off of work at 5pm PST, and can't back to my DS and Wifi until around 5:30 (if traffic is happy).

We may see about rotating times or days come the new year, and taking Mario Kart out of the poll next week is a great idea!

How do I get on to the chat? I need help!
