Lost Planet demos hit platinum mark

This game have already Platimun written all over it, It will be the Next Xbox 360 Big Game.

Eh, IDK it was sorta fun but I'll wait for other games. Demo was good while it lasted but I'm just sick of it a bit now.

I think this game is over-rated. I dunno, i thought it was okay, but I don't know that it deserves the buzz it's getting. It just seems like another 3rd person shooter to me... nothing really stands out.

im looking forward to it. it has fun gameplay to it that appeals to me, at least; and i always like it when a game looks like it might have a cool, compelling story to it also :D. oh yeah, gotta love that theme song too lol.

I liked the single-player demo a lot, but the multiplayer demo is a bit of a snoozefest.

If done correctly, a demo is supposed to garner this most attention, so I don't see how you can possibly make it seem like it was too successful.

It's a free download, it's hardly representative of who will actully buy it.

IMO the game is mediocre at best. It looks like they spent too long on graphics and not much else. I havn't heard much talk of an involving story, and it doesn't feel like there is much of one when playng the sp demo. I think the controls feel a little clumsy as well, too 'loose' for my liking.

I dunno, I played the demo and it was just kind of... yawn. Gears is definetely much better. I'll probably be player GoW up until Halo 3.

Of course there is no story in the demo dummy...Demo's are based on gameplay. Why would they waste time and money on some cutscenes and story line when they could get you right in the action.

Tell me the last demo you played that had a story in it?!

Single player looks sweet - and I will bet you money there is a storyline. Multi was interesting...wasn't a huge fan of gears multi at first either...but now i can't put it down.
This game is going to be killer...especially in Japan! The more 360's that sell the better games we'll get for it...

if you don't like this game, either you didn't give it enough time or you just plain suck at it and got pissed and quit.

the multiplayer has up to 16 players at a time, double that of Gears. it also is faster pace, has disk grenades in which you can throw at someone all the way across the map, dummy grenades which are blow up versions of a character and explode on contact, plasma grenades that freeze players and mechs in their tracks, hand grenades, and gum grenades which stick to people, walls, or mechs.

it has an energy gun which when charged, follows the intended target, a homing laser which can take out multiple enemies by locking on, sniper, plasma gun which is a glorified sniper, machine gun, gatling gun which you can actually take off of the mechs, rocket launcher, and shotgun. plus THERE ARE MECHS. and this is just the demo.

here's what Gears has. machine gun with chainsaw (yeah it's nice), another machine gun, shotgun, torque bow, boomshot, long shot, hand grenade, smoke grenade, pistol, magnum. 8 players. grenade tags. and that's about it.

i love both games, but if you're going to compare them, look at all aspects. if i left anything out, feel free to add to it. just don't be saying Lost Planet is an "eh" game when it has so much to offer and you have nothing to back it up. it has much more than Gears. and again LP is just a DEMO.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - Lost Planet is the 360 next killer-app.

WTF?

The truth is I only have 3 demos left on my HDD and they are all Capcom demos. LP SP,LP MP and Dead Rising.
Action wise there is no game that comes close to the intensity of Lost Planet.

Gears is good but the multiplayer mode of LP has more depth. There are more weapons to begin with and the levels have a lot of vertical space. The Mechs are cool too.

Graphically Gears is better to look at in stills but in action LP is more impressive with massive explosions and particle effects. As for story Capcom gives only small hints in the webisodes but obviuosly there is a well thought out story.

I have to mention again that when it comes to intense action there is nothing like this game.
