First came the snapping straps, then the secret replacements, which were upstaged by the proliferation of fake wiinjuries and the class action lawsuit. It's funny that it's all become stupid in record internet time. Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt. Yup, we've got T-shirts already! At this rate the life cycle of this story will end within a couple weeks -- only to be resurrected by the mainstream media in, um, let's say two months. We'll talk about this all again at that time when ... oh heck, you guys make up the rest. What's the mainstream story going to be like? Get all FOX news creative on us.

Actually, if you watched the clip, you'd know that it doesn't even try making fun of Nintendo. It makes fun of idiot that hurt themselves with the Wiimote. It's pretty clear that G4 is on the side of Nintendo on this one.

On a slow news day this is how the story shall read:
"The Nintendo Wii is a popular video game that was released late last year. But what consumer's did not know was that the game they were buying for their child was an instrument of death! Already there has been much damage done due to the falty wrist strap of the system, and honest working American's have had there new ultra-big-flatscreen-plasma TVs destroyed due to this problem. But that is not the worst of it! Young children have received black eyes, and bruised arms due to the nature of the system's 'motion' sensing controller. Is it really worth it? Is the price that young children pay, worth the 'entertainment' we get from this game? Or are we just full of sh*t, exagerating stories about video games everytime there's a slow news day? I think not, this is definetly the fault of video games! F**k you America, and good night.

I'v never played the Wii but it seems interesting. The last good system that Nintendo made was the Super Nintendo. every thing else has been very childish. whenever the " oooo i can stand up and move and play video games phase" wares off the wii and Nintendo with it will die. Not saying im against fat kids moving or getting a black eye im just anti bad products. lastly America=X-box Japan=Play station... thats the way it is and should be... thank you

As far as I've seen, the PS3 hurt morons even before there were incident reports on the Nintendo Wii actually being in the hands of gamers; what, with all the slamming people into poles and raging stampedes during Christmas shopping. What's so special about the PS3 that people are willing to shell out $600? Improved graphics? Being able to link to a handheld? Uh, the Wii has those features, too. If you can't handle playing a Wii, do yourself a favor and keep playing Gamecube or PS2 with both hands on the controller, numbnuts.
So why is the Wii catching Hell? I've had an Xbox 360 for the past year and it's done me well enough, and I'll more than likely buy a Wii, since I'm pretty sure I have the mental capacity to use one. But it'll be a cold day in Hell before I pay over half a G for gameplay, graphics, and features I can get for a third of the price. Anyone who buys a PS3 really is a fanboy; because any real gamer with half a brain who wasn't would know that kind of price tag for what they're offering is bullcrap when you know you can get it cheaper elsewhere.

In all, my friends that do own Wiis and aren't complete morons say its the best gaming system they've played, and that it's worth every penny. I don't think anything Nintendo makes should be called a gimic, since pretty much everything they make is a gimic. Come on, DS? GameCUBE?
I remember watching G4 at my friends house before the Star Wars III premier. It was the E3 live coverage. And no matter how cool I thought E3 would be, they made it as cringe-worthy and metrosexual as everything else on that channel. Gaming and TV just don't mix.

Wow, I thought Attack of the Show couldn't get any worse. Xplay makes funny jokes, but AOTS just needs to shut up. I thought we were done with the Wii jokes by now, it's kicking the shit out of the PS3, and in my opinion, is tied with the Xbox 360 for the best next-gen systems. AOTS, just shut up, for serious. You guys, along with these random, non-video game related shows, are bringing down G4. If it wasn't for Xplay or cinematech, which is now unfortunately cut down in showings, I or no one else would be watching this channel anymore. Btw, filter SUCKS now. Peace

Ok, here's what I say on this.
Wii- It's a good system, I'm getting one soon, (Red Steel :D) and it shouldn't be too hard to get a good grip on the Remote. I know the graphics aren't 'the best', but they don't HAVE to be. Shit people, I still play the fucking Atari sometimes (PITFALL FTW) and it's fucking what... 20 years old?
PS3- I agree, it's expensive as hell, and there aren't many good launch titles (save for Resistance: Fall of Man), and it ripped the Wiimote idea away with motion sensitivity, however if you think back to the PS2, we were in the same situation. What I'm saying is that the Wii and PS3 have just barely finished coming out, and we need to give them time to grow and develop new games. You can't expect every launch title to be some new leap into the Gaming Hall of Fame (GHF). I think that if we can give the PS3 a little bit of elbow room, and little bit of time to grow, then we can get somewhere, and get some good content and games out for it, and (hopefully) good online content as well. Besides, once the new shipment comes out in March, I'm betting that bigger supply = Lower Cost
Xbox 360- So far one of the systems that we don't hear too many complaints about. It had some great launch titles, and it's had a full year to grow (GEARS OF WAAAR). The Xbox had many good games transferred over for reinnovated titles (TES: Oblivion) and Microsoft did some good work with it, although they did kind of... fuck it up, selling a $100 Adapter, bumping that up to $499, but besides that, great console.
And yes, I do realize that someone is going to call me a dumbass douchebag, and won't provide any evidence whatsoever except his opinion, which they themselves probably don't even believe.

Hey, I own a Wii, it's cheap, it's fun and easy to use, has some great games (Twilight Princess anyone?) and I've never hurt myself with it(minus some mild shoulder pain).
This video is sorta funny, but I think G4 can do much better.
BTW, for you Wii-Haters out there- I love the Wii, and I truly believe that great games make a great system, not graphical power, lame gimmicks, a big price tag, or the fact that people will shoot each other over it. The Wii has great games, both in their new releases and their Virtual Console. It is an all-around great system, and I didn't have to sell my house just to afford it. So quit bashing it.
