RoombaWii: pretty flippin' awesome?

We'd take a Wii-controlled RC car over a similarly modded Roomba any day, but hey, we can respect those meticulously clean persons who would value a lively vacuuming sesh. Take one part Roomba control software (courtesy of Tod Kurt), and one part DarwinRemote, add a dash of Chris Hughes' new script, and voilà, you've just harnessed the power of a domestic robot vacuum. Pretty flippin' awesome dude! Totally.

I think everyone's waiting for two things: Wiimote connection with R.O.B. and Robosapien/Roboraptor/Roboreptile.

This is kind of silly. Honestly, it's 20 times simpler to just use the regular old Roomba remote to maneuver it. That being said, kudos to the creator for, ummm, creating it.

It seems like nearly every day, someone out there is coming up with a new use for the Wii Remote. Nintendo has a winner on their hands. :) Cool Roomba, getting some Wii love.

Pretty flippin' awesome? Sure doesn't look like it at first glance, but stuff like this could definitely help with engineering projects and contests. Really nice job.

By the way, I agree completely with the YouTube community. He looks an awful lot like Matt Damon, hehe.
