Zelda, Gears, and others for $39 this week at Target
Black Friday and holiday shopping deals don't end post Christmas; they're alive and well all this week starting tomorrow. And Target has some killer $39 buys on big games starting 7 AM Tuesday. Like arguably two of the biggest games of the year: Gears of War (360) and Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii, GCN) both for two luscious Jacksons excluding tax.Other titles on the cheap at the store include Final Fantasy XII, Tony Hawk's Project 8, and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance to name a few. You'd be crazy not to drop by and/or scope out other retailers for some gaming deals. Discount GET!

This is an outstanding deal. I'm going to pick up Gears of War and Tony Hawks Project 8 ASAP.. Thanks for the post-Christmas heads up.
FSK405K @ Dec 26th 2006 10:34AM
Too late! Everyone who wants these already got them weeks ago. Unless Timmy opened his wrapping paper and was underwhelmed with his copy of Superman Returns: The Videogame, and will exchange it this week.
Skip @ Dec 26th 2006 11:21AM
Project 8 is mine
UGamer X @ Dec 27th 2006 3:55AM
Cheapassgamer has had this info since the 16th. I think appropriate credit should be given.

Time to get a price adjustment for Twilight Princess. I love Target!
We also usually have great deals online too, at Target.com.
metalgearpoptart @ Dec 26th 2006 10:52AM
I'm going there today to get Twilight Princess.
Jonah Falcon @ Dec 26th 2006 7:06PM
I do NOT have Tony Hawk 8 *or* Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.
Ian @ Dec 28th 2006 12:26AM
Fuck, I just got Zelda on the 24th :(
nick @ Dec 26th 2006 11:47AM
Wouldn't mind picking up Need for Speed Carbon, but I have a bunch of other games I've playing right now, including Gears, Pinata, and Test Drive Unlimited.
Ramrodicus @ Dec 26th 2006 12:11PM
Test Drive Unlimited is awesome. A real sleeper. Plus it was properly priced ($39.95) in the first place.
ihavenoideawhatisgoingon @ Dec 26th 2006 1:07PM
I'm sooo close to hitting the "drive every road" achievement in Test Drive. Another 30 or so minutes and it's mine! The game is great, and you don't need to wait for it to go on sale to get it for cheap!! That's my kind of game!
PF @ Dec 30th 2006 11:28AM
I'll be picking up GoW to go along with my new 360. I sure as hell wasn't gonna 60 bucks for it, or any game for that matter.
Petrie @ Dec 26th 2006 1:38PM
I got most of these for about the same price at release. Do people really st5ill pay full MSRP for games?
Tân Coul @ Dec 26th 2006 4:51PM
Must be nice to game in the U.s.a. - over here in Blighty games have Msrps of £40-50 ($75-90 or thereabouts) with a cheapest discounted price of $67.50...
TxdoHawk @ Dec 27th 2006 12:45PM
Too bad I don't have a Target near me. I told myself I'd wait until Project 8 for $360 was $30 anyway.
rainbowblack @ Dec 27th 2006 4:42AM
Drats, i have most of those games already. but i did get a Target gift card for X-mas since i literally live right across the street from one and go there daily.
i'll give it a looksie later this evening
Josh @ Dec 26th 2006 6:58PM
Twilight Princess GameCube was $38 at Circuit City during its release week. That's when I got it, and it freaking owns.

Remember everyone, if you don't have a Target in your area or yours is sold out when you get there, take the circular to Walmart, Best Buy, Circuit City, Shopko, or any other retailer in your area. All the ones I mentioned will match a competitors ad price if you bring it in with you.
Neebs @ Dec 27th 2006 10:44AM
I'm proud to say I picked up my Zelda at Target today.
Bones @ Dec 27th 2006 8:42PM
Thanks for the tip. Got Wii Zelda earlier today. Now all I need is a Wii...
HAHA @ Dec 27th 2006 5:10PM
one word Tan coul E--BAY!!!! ive always payed at least 10 under retail on ebay. just wait like a week or two after release and BAM!!!! pay no more than 45 for a new/opened game
CitizenGeek @ Dec 27th 2006 11:29AM
You american bastards! While the price is being dropped on FFXII in the US, we still don;t even have an official site in Europe.....
Chad @ Dec 27th 2006 8:22AM
38 Dollars?? I just paid 39 pounds for zelda. That's just about $80 with the exchange. Why is there such a difference?? Not only games as the wii set me back £179 or about $350. Versus $250 in USA. That's about 40% more. Gotta be rich to game in the UK!!
energyblue @ Dec 27th 2006 11:50AM
Got Zelda at target , still no wii at stores
Dark-Pen @ Dec 27th 2006 2:54AM
i just got back from target, got my copy, and now I plan to go to sleep.
....it wierd playing a mirrored world compared to the Wii, but I have to say that I really feel more at home w/ the gamecube controller and an actual camera w/ the C stick than w/ the wiimote
Dukhat @ Dec 27th 2006 2:58AM
Wow, what a huge Wii360 bias when they claim that TP and Gears of War are both bigger than FFXII.
FFXII will easily beat GOW in the long run due the PS2's larger install base and will certainly give TP a run for its money.
I guess you can't escape bias, especially on the internet.
Keil Joy @ Dec 27th 2006 8:27PM
too busy playing Metal Gear Portable Ops to even think about buying a new game!
