Each year, NCL gives a gift to Platinum members of Japan's Club Nintendo (Platinum members can be spotted by their metallic coating as it shines in the winter sun -- and by their Club Nintendo accounts, which tally more than 400 points amassed during the previous calendar year). This year's prizes are especially funky. Shiny members may choose one item from a list (of two):
- a Wii remote battery flap on which Nintendo will print the owner's Mii image (Miis should be sent to Nintendo through Wii Connect before February)
- a copy of Club-exclusive DS title Tingle's Balloon Fight
Feel free to commence the vitriolic "Why don't we get that stuff here?" comments --NoA isn't listening.

I don't buy nearly enough nintendo goods to even put it to good use anyways.

You know what? Reggie looks like a glazed ham. There, I said it. Give me my Mii battery cover.

Maybe some time in the future some company will have a service of printing Miis on your battery covers. If such a service becomes available, I'll order that.
For me as a collector the game may be nicer.
Actually, I want both, though.
I mean, getting far over 400 points wasn't exactly cheap and Nintendo's making a hell of a lot of money right now.
Come on, Nintendo, don't be so cheap and give us platinums both gifts. :o)

And America get's screwed over. Even in Europe they get cooler things then we do. Well they get things and that's a start. I have several games on Nintendo.com and all I have ever gotten was two Nintendo Powers in like a weeks time and another Nintendo Power about a month later that was eaten in the mail.

For the same reason we get fewer, weaker VC titles, have to wait for big releases, etc... Nintendo is a company based in Japan, duh.
