if the disc was switched at the manufacturers, then it would play in the 360 as a normal dvd. But I was under the impression that the discs were labled first then pressed.. anybody know how that works for real?

Wow, i would consider that a collectors item. I always wondered if anyone at factories ever did stuff like this. Not that im really blaming them but where else would it be possible?

@39 (burnt vs. pressed)

Do you know if they "press" the data onto the DVD at the exact same moment they "electrostatically fuse" (or whatevs) the label on it? That's my point.

Nice youtube link Starbuk... soooo... it looks like my idea could be feasible.

Worker swaps a Madden disc off the line with his burnt porno DVD before it goes to get "silk screened".

The only part is the article doesn't say if it was just a still image or a movie.

If it's Madden porn, wouldn't it be ALL-MALE?

These people should definitely be mad.

The price of a 360 game was paid so they should get maybe 2-3 adult dvds. $60 for one is kind of high.

I worked at a Gamestop for 5 years, and we did encounter this once with a Madden game, actually. I think it was a copy of Madden 2003 for the PS2 that the corprate warehouse had sent us. We sold it to a customer and it was promptly returned. The disc looked official, had all the proper markings of a legitimate PS2 game, but put it in the PS2, and the movie player started. Wasn't porn (I don't remember what movie it was) but it was definately not Madden.

So, this definately isn't "Kid was watching porn and got caught" - this sort of misprinting mistake thing does happen. Why he didn't hide the disc and never speak of it to his parents I won't understand, but this is defianetly an error on the printer's side, or maybe a cruel joke (thoughtful gift?) by some dude on the assembly line.

Then again, paying 60 dollars for porn is just plain wrong. No matter how good it is.

You know, only one person understands, that this happened in Utah with a high amount of Mormons (LDS). Mormons teach their kids that Pornography and sex outside of marriage is wrong. It's kind of nice to see a kid do the right thing when the rest of the world is spiraling downward. It's sad that the only thing that most people can think is bonus, I got porn.

Exactly, at 14 he wouldn't be running to Mommy and Daddy unless he thought, "Jackpot! Free Stuff!". Mass production isn't going to allow for this to happen to ONE game disc. I smell bullshit here.

Ohh look at me I'm so hurt. I'm going to have to sue them for mega bucks due to trauma in order to "console" mayself for the next few years.

Ohh look it must be true that I was traumatised it appeared everywhere in the news so that should add at least 20% to the payout.

Maybe Uncle Dan wanted the game so he made a copy of the picture on the top of madden disc on what he thought was a blank DVD but it turned out to be one of his porns he downloaded then he placed the sticker back on the case and re-shriked wrapped it

I don't care if he lives in Utah or that he is possibly a mormon. The point is that this kid wants a Madden game instead of porn.

haha, I kid myself. I'd keep the porn from Uncle Dan. Clearly this 14 year old has problems with sexuality and prefered big pixeled 3D men over naked girls. He clearly isn't bright enough to know that this copy alone can generate enough money for at least 4 games of his choice on ebay. If I were a dad, judging by the physique of the kid on this photo, I'd make him play REAL FOOTBALL instead.
