I really don't think a mobile version of halo would work out

For some reason I misread "Microsoft sued for halting Halo Movie".

Oh well, one can dream, can't we?

frank

its called a contract. like say a car loan. u miss a payment the contract becomes null and the bank can take back your car. and not give u a bloody cent.

when they failed to make thier second payment the contract was broken.

they won't win a cent from ms cause ms is not in the wrong. thats why we have contracts to protect both parties.

Microsoft and Bungie own the rights to the Halo series. Microsoft has every legal right to halt the decision if they want to.

Step 1: Agree to contract
Step 2: Accept money!
Step 3: Reject all proposals
Step 4: PROFIT!

Yeah...you've got it backwards. Not like I know the details of this contract, but once you stop paying you're in breach. Unless theres something saying the payment is contingent upon approval of game design(which is pretty doubtful). Plus M$'s lawyer team would own.

Why should M$ accept game designs it doesn't like? They're the ones publishing it. If In-Fusion can't hack it they'll just have to suffer the consequences and come up with something M$ likes. And they damn sure can't just stop paying.

No grounds for lawsuit!

For the love of god, people, stop making games for freaking PHONES. That's what we have handhelds for. Every time you spend money to develop a phone game, both a kitten and a puppy die.

Phones graphics = Craptacular

If you visit http://www.in-fusio.com/ you can see that they have made Age of Empires and Zoo Tycoon (both MS titles) into mobile games. From their website it looks like their games are standard mobile game quality, but really what do you expect?

I can recognize that MS would want a high quality adaptation of their premiere FPS, but shit, they shouldn't have signed the contract with these guys if they weren't willing to have Halo made into a standard mobile title.

What did MS expect, complete 3-D with multiplayer matchmaking support compatible with XBOX Live?

I think MS needs to get a grip. I don't think In-fusio would sue just for fun since after this they are probably never going to adapt another MS game.

and lol at halo snake.

I wonder who are proud parents of the kid who drew the Halo character. Nice Photoshopping it into a cell phone photo.

Um... you guys seem to have it all wrong.

MS entered a contract for Halo CONTENT on Mobile phones. This includes (according to the article) wallpapers and ringtones. The contract called for 4 payments of 500k. In-Fusio believed this contract would give them a shoe-in to develop a halo game... which MS didn't sign up for, so all the designs have been rejected because there is no real design.

After this, In-Fusio stopped paying the royalties, which is a breach of contract. So In-Fusio no longer has any chance of using the Halo trademark.

MS hasn't done anything wrong. In fact, MS didn't do anything, period. In-Fusio breached the contract on a supposition.

Halo for MS = Cash Cow.

The Halo series is great, and known for good gameplay and great graphics...MS isn't about to throw the Halo reputation away on some crappy phone game.

like most people said, ms agreed to give infusio CONTENT access. the infusio people thought it meant that it gave them access to make a game out of it. well, they were wrong, so ms rejected all of the designs, infusio got pi$$ed, and they stopped paying which breached the contract. ms did not do anything wrong. besides a mobile game based off of halo would be an insult to the entire series. P.S. lol at the snake thing :3P

What the hell is this.
i cant tell if its a joke or not
I think that Bungie should be in control of the Halo franchise more then microsoft, mainly because bungie definitly has a better idea of what direction they want this game to go. besides, anything less the a 3d mutliplayer matchmaking halo for cell phone wouldnt be worth investing in.
and on top of even that, all cellphone games suck balls anyway. except tetris.
