I won't miss Rare games. Virtual every game they've made for MS has sucked. Viva maybe good in parts but its poorly designed so it doesnt appeal to the mass market and is not really a kids game either hence the poor sales.

The strategy thinking within Rare is poor and their sales results show this, bottom line.

Hopefully this will give a fading company a much needed kick up the ass.

agreed....Rare has had its day. With gears re-writing the book so to speak it seems the brothers rare have bottled it.

Don't play Viva Pinata. Its too addicting. I can't think or function today at work cuz I've been playing all night. And poor design #1?... perhaps, but at 3AM it doesn't really matter.

Back when Nintendo sold rare, they said something to the effect of "The quality of games coming from Rare no longer meet expectations"

At the time, many of us thought Nintendo was crazy. Not so much anymore.

Now, I'm looking forward to playing Viva when I can get my hands on it... But here's hoping that they can set things right with Banjo Kazooie 3.]

If not, MS should retire the Rare brand and integrate the programmers into Microsoft Game Studios.
