White PS3 maker expands line to red, silver

Encouraged by the positive reception and high eBay sales price fetched by his white PS3 mod, Michal Berecki is expanding the operation to include silver and red system cases. The new colors are still in the concept stage for now, but Berecki has promised the brightly colored PS3s will be on sale in the coming weeks.
We can't help but be tickled by the idea of a home hobbyist filling in a market niche that a console maker seems unwilling or unable to fill. With three colors planned already, the sky's the limit. What kind of designs would you like to see on a future PS3 case?

well, since sony stole the spiderman font for the logo, its only fitting to have a spiderweb-covered ps3. that would look kickbutt with the red shown in the pic.

bad thing would be if the system stopped working and you had to send it off for repairs. then they send you back a refurbished system. also the spiderman font is sony's in a way since they own rights to the movie.

Since Spiderman is a Sony movie they didn't really have to steal the font. But the theme would be pretty cool.

Since the guy doing these is an auto body shop guy, I am going to hold out for the British Racing Green PS3 and then ... not buy anyway, cause I am busy playing somin else.

LOL, if you want one just go to bestbuy.com. apparently they are selling it for $599 (no bundle rap3) or just head to your local bestbuy where they now have stacks of it with no one buying.
It is truly pethatic. I will get 3 wii before i will buy one ps3 at this point.

Now it's starting to make sense. The PS3 market is full of people that desire personal mods, such as this job here. These people are willing to pay for "upgrades" to the design - some would say because all they have to do with the PS3, at least for now, is look at it. These are the same people that think a gaming PC HAS to have neon lights and seven hard drives.
Hmm, that's a pretty small market, isn't it?

LOL, that's the best one yet. They should get George to start endorsing their machine. The design looks cool when its upright but looks like a cooking appliance when its sitting flat.
