What about some Duke Nukem 3-D? That was some gaming there.

Heretic was fun and all, but you're forgetting the greatest fps of that era... Duke Nukem 3D :) I'd also love to see Rise of the Triad reborn on XBLA...

descent

duke nukem 3-d has already been disclaimed by 3drealms saying they won't do it - read joystiq's archives - it's out there.

How about Descent? Anyone else remember that game? The problem I have with Doom and all the extra versions? IT'S DOOM! On a 55" in screen, it is blocky something fierce. I guess XBLA games are for the 27" TV and smaller players.

Dude 3: Quake II is already available as a free bonus disc with Quake 4.

I'd say that Final Doom (if isn't the same game as Doom under a different title) could be released as a standalone title like Ms Pacman. Hell, why not put the exact same achievements to them for the hell of it?

As much as I love Duke Nukem 3D, I doubt they'd manage to fit the game into 50mb. Not for 10 years, anyways.

In regards to #4. Yeah but Quake 4 sucks, I would just want Quake II.

well you do know this game was out on the N64 and was only like 128mb ..back then!!!

6 years on there's no reason why it could en fit into 50mb

"not for 10 years" lol listen to urself

@Pedro,

Duke Nukem 3D is under 50MB when compressed, so I'm *pretty sure* they could figure out a way to fit it into a 50MB footprint ;)

Maybe Valve has something in the works, but what about the best FPS of all time... Half-Life 1?

Apart from that, how about Marathon and Durandal from Bungie, the spiritual predecessors of Halo?

The original DOS version of Duke Nukem 3D is less than 6MB. Even with graphical updates, this should be easy to bring in within the XBLA target size. We've already seen one game on XBLA using the Unreal Engine 3. This should work pretty well for a deluxe version of Duke Nukem 3D.

I would love to see Heretic. Duke Nukem 3d would be cool too. I would also love to see Lemmings II. I used to play that for hours back in the day. (if we must keep bringing back old games)
