Flickr account holder 'g3n3101' has posted a mighty collection of Xbox 360 case mods, highlighted by this WWII-themed diorama assembled atop a Call of Duty 2-plated console. Microsoft has long touted 360 as a customizable unit, and fans have taken that theme and run wild. Think that extended warranty is still valid? Think again.

Hey, one of those is my design! I remember a guy mentioned he was asked to aribrush a faceplace using my artwork but I never heard from him since. Oh well, it's not like I'm going to sue, but perhaps I should attempt to make it myself. Cool mods.

I wanted to get more airflow around it, so I put it on blocks, but that just looked ugly.

Very cool looking Xbox 360. I wonder what's in store for PS3 and Wii. (I can imagine the NES/SNES Wii designs, but what else will people think up next?)

Joystiq is so Wii-loving, even on a 360 mod post they have to slip in a comment about voiding the warranty.

Um, the Wii is the hot item right now; of course they are going to play any talk they can about it.
Likewise, the PS3 is the junk item for the moment, so it will get trashed at every opportunity.
Is it fanboyism, or just playing to the trends? Maybe some of both.
Whatever. Fine with me. A Wii needs to replace that junk PS2 and the Gamecube 1.0 sitting next to the 360.

Cut the crying about favoritism, for God's sake. There's nothing of the sort here.
The PR machines have whipped the gamer hardcore into a state in which you cannot publish a console's name without igniting a fire. Let alone talking casual-like about your interests, being a gamer.
