According to an anonymous source close to 1UP, EA's Lord of the Rings: The White Council RPG has been canceled. No reason was given as EA returned 1UP's inquiry with "no comment," but perhaps the Tolkien folk weren't happy with EA's new side story set 100 years before original series events. Nothing's confirmed for now, but if true, Frodo just lost some much-needed preliminary backup.
