Discovery Channel giving away 2mil MS points [update 1]
Two million points is quite a haul, and would just about allow you to pay for the horse armor in Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. We keed, we keed! Seriously though, that's a lotta points just waiting to find their way home underneath your gamertag. In conjunction with the new content they are sponsoring for Gears of War, the Discovery Channel is giving away the points through
While the Discovery Channel isn't the first company to give away points on Xbox Live, they are the first network/cable channel to do so. It's probably no coincidence that they're airing their Gamer Generation series while this contest is going on. Gamers, you all are a demographic that everyone wants a slice of, so brace yourselves.

This sure beats having to decide how to spend my 1600 ms points. But I think I'll probably need a few of the current hard drives to fit in all the stuff I would download.

$25,000 in MS points, wow.
Who wants to bet that we see a Live account on ebay with 2,000,000 microsoft points attached.

are you sure its not readyaimfuture.com, the site for their show, futureweapons?
JamesE @ Jan 8th 2007 5:25PM
Um.. guys a little common sense suggests that they are going to distribute the $25,000 of MS points amongst thousands of gamers, not give it all to one person.

Concaf: You are right, it is http://www.readyaimfuture.com/ , I just checked.

Two things. First, yes it's readyaimfuture.com, not readyaimfire.
Second, it's not one 2 million point prize, it's 5,000 400 point prizes spread out over the contest period. As stated in the legalese:
PRIZE
1 Token code for 400 Microsoft Points
RETAIL VALUE
$5.00
NUMBER OF PRIZES
5,000

will one person get them all or will they be a load of smaller prizes?
