Molyneux, others join GDC lineup, Fable 'talk' imminent
Having the inside scoop, Gamasutra reports that Peter Molyneux, Killer 7's Goichi Suda, and a team of Final Fantasy XII developers led by Taku Murata are joining the GDC 2007 lineup. Molyneux, well known for his mastery of hype-building (and subsequent apologies), will by lecturing on Fable 2, musing aloud about the brilliant innovations that might or might not make the final cut -- Molyneux promises to reveal "a totally unexpected feature" (we've heard that before).Teasing aside, Molyneux is one of the most forward-thinking developers in the industry today. He might not always deliver, but he's earned his street cred for being a risk-taker. Molyneux's colorful presence is a key addition to GDC.
Also making appearances during the conference will be Goichi Suda, who will illustrate the experience of working on a small development team (in this case, Grasshopper), along with Taku Murata and other core members of the FFXII team, who will reflect on the lessons learned during the game's development.

Peter Molyneux has made it his staple to overpromise and underdeliver. I wish I could look forward to hearing his speech but I know half of it won't come true.
Gamers live an odd life. We are promised so much, and we pay a lot of money for the products we have, and so many of them never live up to the hype. Such a bummer.

I was one of the few (I think) who thought Fable was an excellent game (it's one of my favorites for sure)....I mean, sure, it didn't have everything that was promised, but I didn't really go into it expecting the world. Besides, some of the features that were talked about before it came out were a waste of time to me (trees growing as you play, muscles getting bigger as you swing your sword)....I do wish that the competing heroes and having kids features were in....but all in all, Fable was an amazing game with many surprises and nice touches.

Fable was awesome, I agree it was amazing.
Actually your muscles do grow as you swing your sword, more melee is stronger, more magic is mr. wimpy.

your muscles didn't really grow as you swung your sword... there was just a set build type for each level of strength, every time you went and spent your exp on strength, your guy's muscles got bigger.

Nah, your muscles don't grow as you swing your sword. Your muscles grow as you increase your strength attributes....I know that was something that was in a few reviews on the game.
