There's "no new information" on the PC port of Gears that we provided to nVidia, as we have no information to provide to end users.

Now, video card manufacturers, that's a different story...

Everyone in their cousin knows Gears is coming to the PC. Between the exe hidden in the drivers and a Gears game box appearing under "Games for Windows" advertisements, it shouldn't be a surprise when it happens. There's no reason for MS or Epic to announce it coming to the PC currently since it's still selling consoles.

Of course it will come to the PC. Just not to a NINTENDO system - because...they're dumb - yeah! And...the N64 had little rings on the analog stick that you put your thumb on, and that was dumb...and stuff...uhh...yeah. Marc Rein is just so k3wl.

"You know console games are developed on PCs, right?"

Really? I thought they had to type everything in with an on-screen keyboard and a joystick!

Who cares? By the time it does comes out, Crysis will have all the thunder, and Gears will be a budget title for the 360.

Or, when Crysis arrives, everyone buys Gears of War because THAT at least can run on their system!

well i bought a 360 because i played gears and liked it alot, i doubt my computer could run it anyways, half life 2 and oblivion were the last generation for it i think

i had wanted a 360 at launch but i scoffed at my friends who spent so much then

waiting almost a year netted me rainbow six vegas for free, a cheaper console and some free xbox live arcade games (go geo wars and outpost keloki!)

1. PR school teaches you to never say never and outright deny rumors like this.

2. Gears' control scheme on a PC would be bizarre. You can't have that joystick wiggle you need on cover with the ESDF layout. It would need to be retooled in a big way, and I don't think I'd want that.

If you don't want the 360, then just get UT2007. That will work on a PC a lot better than on the 360. But I still very much want it on the 360...

The control method for GoW will be much improved by a keyboard/mouse combo. Splinter cell has the same cover/attack system as gears and playing that with a keyboard and mouse felt much better than the console version. Not to mention the improvement in aiming.

Gears will be awesome on PC.
