GOW maps are live (so is Ms. Pac-Man) [update 1]
13
The Gears of War map pack is now available (as if Gears fanboys didn't already know). We've detailed the two new maps -- Raven Down and Old Bones -- already, but we'll be taking them for a test spin today and letting you know what's what. Also available is a special GOW map pack theme and an introductory video from Epic's boy wonder, CliffyB. So, download the maps, look for us online, and help us test these suckers out!
Oh yeah, there's some game out for Live Arcade as well. Ms. Porc-Chop or something ....
Update: Added the introductory video with CliffyB. Thanks to rivithed from Gaming Bits for spotting it.

Ah the maps are nice but the true greatness of this day lies in the Gears update. No more fucking chat bug. Hell yeah, now it can be played like a team game. You know, without the party system.
Also can't help but feel the wait wasn't worth the two new maps, even though they are nice and all. Seriosuly 4 fucking sets of grenades and two boomshots on one map with standard weapons. Eh, will be interesting I suppose when the maps catch on.
Well I'm off to bed, binge gaming in Gears has me tired and I've played the new maps to hell.

I got it from the GameStop GOW "After Dark" event. We gave some of them away, too.

The upsetting part about this, is the fact that the pack is 96mb. For all us Core package users, we're now excluded from all the fun. Even joining a room now, results in you being chucked out as soon as the new maps come into cycle.
So now, basically I'm forced to buy a HD. £70 - AWESOME.
