Mac World has, in the paraphrased words of Stephen Colbert, spawned the most amount of nerd wood since Princess Leia put on the bronze bikini. Despite its many imperfections, we still think the iPhone is a beautiful product we can never afford. It's the Apple effect, and Penny Arcade tackled it perfectly this week.Back to gaming, here's a selection of gaming comics we thought were awesome this week. We told Chillcomix we'd give them a nod, so go check it out if you have a chance. With all that out of the way, be sure to vote for your favoring game-related webcomic!

I vote for the penny arcade comic in the article. That or none of the above.
CAD is good, but most comics follow a story, you cant just pick one.

Wow. I come here expecting to see people raving and all I hear is bitching. That VG Cats was gold.
I used to do that with Tribes - most things that you might want to say could be communicated just using the little vocalization clips.

GeekCulture totally ripped on those Charles Atlas comic book ads from the 60s. I thought that was cool. :P
The deviantart one was pretty good as well.

I think they were all lame this week - the only funny one was the Penny-Arcade one, and I couldn't even vote for that. I'm starting to think that either there isn't enough talent in the Webcomics pool, or there isn't enough material to be consistently funny when you're writing about videogames.
Also, the VGCats comic reminded me too much of furries - it might have been funny if there weren't a plethora of people masturbating to stuff like that. Instead of funny, I just found it creepy.

Do a lot of you wait for the weekly webcomic wrapups to appear just so you can complain? (Ironically I am complaining now too, but not about the comics) Most of the webcomics featured have a pretty decent installed fanbase. How about instead of complaining about them, create your own and do it better?
Or focus on what you like instead of bitching about what you don't. In a hypothetical world where you might one day get laid, would you rather your partner focuses on your short coming or how its nice sex with you only lasts during the commercial break and never interupts her program?

Although it fried my mind, VGCats is very well thought through. Using actually in game lines (Where's "Do a barrel roll!"?)
I'm a fan of F@nb0y$ Online and your not going to get a arc ender unless you read the entire arc. So, thats kinda of an let down, especially after last week. But read the start of the arc and you may find the joke in the lastest strip, as well as others, I assure you :)

Peppy said that line, and that comic just had Fox, Falco, and Wolf.
Sheesh. You guys must be the most jaded gamers on Earth. How can you honestly say that ALL of the comics sucked?
My vote went to DU. About time someone brought the "logic" of video games to light!

I know its Peppy's line, I just thought it would add an extra "ha" to the comic if it was used.
I'm not a fan of Tim Buckley but this weeks CAD is worth a good chuckle. You can't go wrong with Hail-NekoYasha, either. I like her comics. The one they had up last week, "Instincts", was great! Loved it.

If you don't think this week's VGCats was funny, you never played Star Fox 64. If you played it tons and could recognize all those lines and where they were said, like me, it was seriously hilarious.
VGCats gets the easy vote. They've done a lot of really solid comics over the last month.

*sigh* VGCats is STILL NOT FUNNY. I played StarFox and still don't find this week's comic funny. "None of the above" is really needed for these polls. Inside jokes, homosexuality, furries and catch phrases are NOT HUMOROUS!!
