The Chinese government has been notorious for censoring content before it gets inside their borders, especially foreign goods. But Microsoft has had ambitions to get the Xbox 360 released in China for years and now it seem their plan has some legs to run on. PC Magazine is reporting that Microsoft has been talking with local ISPs in China and garnering support from the government to make the 360 available at retail. It looks like there will be a lot of hoops to jump through before things are finalized, but retailers in major cities are telling customers that Xbox 360s could be available possibly by February. We see China as an untapped resource for Microsoft to sell units that could make up some of the lost ground in Japan ... though we're not at all guaranteeing China will fall in love with our white box.[Thanks, Jonah]
