Wii= A democrat: The Wii is an inclusive system that brings peace among gamers. Remember no fights ,no nothing during the launch.

Playstation 3: A Republican: Not inclusive due to price. Encourages war and fighting remember the launch. Thinks its better than everyone.

Right, the one that costs more and wastes more is the Republican.

Don't you ever call my Nintendo a Democrat again.

Just look at the spending by the Republican government under Bush and you see nothing but waste and a mediocre economy, under Clinton we had a surplus and a powerful economy

I totally 100% agree. But those don't express traditional Republican or Democrat values. Clinton was a moderate and Bush is a big spender. USUALLY the Republican is a big spender but the Democrat is a bigger spender.

Yeah.....cuz Republicans are SOOOO thrifty.

This war hasn't cost us a thing and is SOOOOOOOOO worth it.

Or perhaps you feel hitting on pages isn't a waste?

Besides...if anything, Wii is an independent. You know...the the little guy that makes sense while the two "big boys" fight each other for the right to tell you what you really want.

I get the feeling my Wii is more of a Libertarian.
She's definitely a little fiscally conservative, so needless to say she hates Bush more than I do. She won't even let him throw a punch in boxing which is okay because I like using him as a punching bag.

Now I just need to get her a dead guy's SS# and register her to vote.

Other then that, good facts, you must get your information from Fox. Grow up and start listening to the news and not your mommy's ill-conceived opinions.

I'd say the PS3 IS Bush:
Overhyped, underdelivered, expensive, unnecessary...
Makes you wonder "Did he really just say that!?"

Though the Wii is a more average Republican: Pleasant, but a little cheap. :)

Joystiq is sinking to new lows, throwing political debate into the mix of the usual fanboy crap. Way to go, guys.

just remember that no matter what side of the political spectrum you fall on, all three consoles are being pushed onto you by big businesses whose ultimate goal is always, always to take your money from you.

Yes if you are a capitalist, a big time investor or a highly technical professional (lawyer, Dr, etc.) For everyone else this country has gone to shit in the last five years in the lack of good paying jobs. Most of the jobs you hear Bush talking about are McJobs that no one can live on not good job paying 15/hr or more. Plus concerning the stock market the top 25% owns 90% of all stocks (source: SEC)!!!! The average man left behind again!!!

whoops, that was stockmarket "does not equal" the economy.

Also, there is literally no history of Republican fiscal discipline. Reagan waged war on tax increases and social services, but government spending still skyrocketed under him. Just because Republicans make future generations pay for their spending doesn't mean their fiscally responsible.

(and no, that is not an endorsement of Democrats, just pointing out that there is no perceptible difference in spending despite RNC talking points)

Wii is a socialist

It provides more freedom than the other 2 combined in some ways (Controls/Philosophy), but in other ways, is much more restricting (Online/Hardware/Nintendo monopoly)

I'd say 360 is a Liebertarian (It believes in making the user decide what they want with all the optional, but overly expensive, accessories)

PS3 is a neoconservative, it tells you what you want (Blu-ray) and delivers exactly what it says it will (Blu-ray)

What an idiot. If a company lays off 20% of it's workforce and ships those jobs to India, it's stock price will go up. However, that is not good news for the economy.

"11. Joystiq is sinking to new lows, throwing political debate into the mix of the usual fanboy crap. Way to go, guys." I love the fact that because Blake threw in the part about their political affiliation that you blame him for people debating it. He didn't even make it that prominent in the article. You people make it out like he wrote "PS3 IS A REPUBLICAN AND WII IS AN DEMOCRAT OMG" and nothing more. Grow up people, it's humor not a political debate. >_>

Way off topic, but the stock market IS doing well, the economy is rolling, and we haven't seen any signs of a .com burst like under Clinton yet. And where is your data that the rich/poor gap is widening? If it is the case, I would argue that illegal immigration is a large portion of that, since wages are being driven lower by people willing to do those jobs cheaper. And unfortunately, Reagan did screw this up, just like we are now.

Does anyone even remember who controlled Congress under Reagan? With a sizable majority? It wasn't Republicans.

That being said, there should be a clearer distinction between Democrat and liberal, and Republican and conservative. Being one does not imply the other. Bush is quite obviously a social conservative, but a fiscal liberal. There is also a line between liberals and progressives. Progressives very much tend to subscribe to (and yea, even revere) socialist and or Communist governments.

The war, of course, must be fought, there is really no choice right now. We either fail completely, or we get the heck out of the troops' way and let them do their job, instead of having a seven-step "rules-of-engagement" process before they can even fire back while being fired upon. I do find it hilarious that the same people who say we're spending too much on the war also say that Bush went in for money, though.

Anyway, even after all that, why the heck do we even care what our console's party affiliation is? Someone had WAY too much free time on their hands, much as I have a little in writing this blurb.

Sarge out.
