Hey, at least they're showing how the game is played - better than the crying baby or the commercials made up entirely of CGI.

It's really unfortunate that multi-player is limited to passing around one Wii Remote between players.

Wario's out now in Oz, says Nintendo

Nintendo's let loose its second TV spot promoting WarioWare Smooth Moves just a little too early. According to the promo, it's out now.

Kyle, you're absolutely right. No one does - except those dingos stealing our babies. Damn Crocodile Dundingos.

Yes, I'm high.

Yes, I'm getting this game.

Yes, I'm shutting up now.

I'm glad the ad focuses on the actions instead of the screens, which are not as important as all the fun uses of the Wii-mote. I could think of worse things to do in a game ad... (cough, let's be like Final Fantasy and show nothing but pre-rendered cinemas).

Anyway, I just got this game tonight and it's hilarious -- loving it so far. The different motions work well, although I noticed that many of them use the sensor bar (unlike most stuff in Wii Sports) so you'll want to make sure you've got your sensor bar lined up and in sight. Highly recommended.

#6: You can't pronounce Wii WITHOUT an Australian accent (NZ'ers usually pronounce the letter "i" as "i," not "e.").

And where are you living that you can't find a Wii? They're all OVER the freaking place here. It's the first party component cables that are impossible to find.

It's the same for most of Australia I think. We have three EBGames' here, and more or less all three of them sell out the same day they get a wii restock. I'm lucky I got one on launch night, because I'd still be waiting if I hadn't.

Australians actually buying nintendo stuff FTW.

And that ad sucks ass. The Twilight Princess ad was so good, mostly cause the narrator had a normal australian accent.

I still can't find a Wii in the UK....its absolutely ridiculous!! Seriously not happy with how Nintendo have delt with the UK or any EURO country that STILL have shortages when anywhere else in the world have 24/7 stock.

Also, the ending of that commercial sounds like the first half of the Intel chimes.

We've got a similar advert showing here in the U.K, except it's got some game footage and some nice jiggly breast action.

Not that i was paying much attention or anything.....

Yeah - they're nowhere in Canberra. JBs say they aren't getting any more in until March. A friend in Brisbane was supposed to be getting one for his birthday today and instead got one on order, so they aren't anywhere there either.

Methinks its a good move to not show the graphics of warioware. To teh casual observer who doesnt know the game, they would be easy to dismiss as 'ass'.

Nintendo's emphasis is on game play. They don't want people to judge their games on graphics. You are not going to see much of actual game play on any commercial because they really can't compete with MS and Sony in that respect.

They have to sell the experience because the graphics, as far as they are concerned, is completely secondary.

But still people need to get a sense of what the game is, and showing gameplay would help things.
