ThatGameCompany's PlayStation 3 version of flOw missed the console's launch, and then failed to arrive in December, as promised. Recently, we heard flOw would hit PlayStation Store in early January. Well, that never happened, so IGN went knocking on SCEA's door ... and someone actually answered: "We'll be posting a trailer at the end of this month [or] beginning of next," clarified Sony. "As for the game itself, we'll be releasing near the end of February." Alas, another vaguely stated delay. Patience.
Where's flOw?

I'm getting sick of it all.
It's as simple as this. IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY TO BUY THE PLAYSTATION 3 BECAUSE THE XBOX 360 IS BETTER IN MANY, ALMOST ALL ASPECTS. Of course, it is down to your own opinion, but just keep you mind open and perhaps read up more about both consoles and make an informed decision.

Another shot at Sony? This is getting ridiculous.
Not like Flow is Motorstorm...
Flow should sell in the 10's of thousands if that. Seriously, who cares?

wait... isn't Flow just like a 8 dollar version of geometry wars kind of thing? isn't it like hardly a game but more like a flash based browser game?
how the hell could it take so much time to release sumtjhin like that

Man Sony sure seems to be doing all that it can to make you feel like and idiot for supporting, or even caring, about the PS3. The sucker is loaded with potential, but the clock is ticking like mad and I for one am starting to care less and less by the second.
First I'm reading about how War Hawk - originally a launch title - may get pushed to next year and then this. Honestly, I hope to God they succed, but holy crap, get your act together Sony!

Probably because Sony can't magically purchase free servers for its free service.

Technically, couldn't you just fire up the PS3 web browser, and play flow as a flash game? Does the PS3 browser support flash?
I'm confused as to what's so technically difficult about this. If you have the flash game, and you have a web browser on the PS3, where is there a problem? Just make it a downloadable flash title... Maybe someone can illuminate my ignorance.

as others have said....the game is FREE. ONLINE. NOW. for your computer. why would I buy it for my PS3 (other than I hate playing videogames on my computer, that is). still, I wouldn't pay for it. how about working on a game that will make a difference and sell your system, Sony??? Twisted Metal. FFIII. MGS4. Warhawk.

Anyone else find it incredibly ironic that Sony fanboys who constantly call the Wii nothing but 'point and click flash games', are essentially waiting for...a fucking flash game?
Nothing breaks in a $600 dollar system better than a little hypocrisy.

The reason flOw is taking so long is because theyre adding a lot to it that never existed in the flash game. On top of the company itself stating they are not using one line of code that was in the flash version, they made the game from scratch.

its a pretty game but god it sucks at gameplay - people are waiting to pay for this? why dont they at LEAST try it first, for free

I think people are missing the real point that I found in this.
Once again, Sony PR is doing a bad job.
Xbox Major Nelson takes gribes and tracks down answers for the fan base, no matter if the answer is good or bad.
Sony needs a similar public figure that will speak to Sony management on behalf of the fan base.
Giving answers like, "sometime towards the end of February" is too vague to appease the fan base.
I like the playstation, but hate the f*cking company!

Heh, wouldn't it be amusing if Flow is slow for PS3 because Flow has suddenly realized just how much better the Wiimote would be for playing the game?
Probably my fanboy-ism speaking, but I'm just saying... :P

www.threespeech.com will give you the answers you want for rumors. Also, they probably didn't give a specific date because they don't know when it will be ready.
Also, the Warhawk rumor has been confirmed as FALSE. Joystiq just decided not to let the world know about the most current news on the subject.

Maybe re-writing it and taking extra months has more to do with Cell development than adding features, eh?

The reason flow is taking so long is because the PS3 is a flawed technology that is horrendous to code for. It is not because of adding more stuff to it, it is simply because to get the game running on a PS3 as a PS3 native title the whole engine has to be recoded to take into effoct the fact that the PS3 has a different core for each individual element(and 2 of those dotn even work). A flash game is simple(to put on the web) to make because the engine already exists in a polished form. Putting the same flash on a PS3 requres recoding all those simple and advanced features that have existed in Flash for years and have been in development for years. Adobe did not recode flash to work on a cell for sony, so you cant expect the game to make an easy transition.
Cross platform in this generation is a title shared by PC, 360 and Wii.
It seems like sonys R&D department consists of 1 PC with an internet connection and one geek sitting at it, that reports all the "nifty" stuff he finds on slashdot to the honchos for considderation.
Sony didnt lose touch, they never had touch, they just had vision in the 90s to recognise the potential of a cd based product that they proposed as an addition to the SNES to be its own stand alone device. That vision came from the need to recoup the potential losses of developing a product that was rejected by nintendo.
And im with the rest of you play flOw for free at:
