What am I waiting for? For you to remove that picture of Pee-Wee from this article.
That's what I'm waiting for.

I didn't see Cave Story on that list. Did I miss it?
If it's not there: INSTANT FAILURE.
Greatest free game ever!

#1 - Ha! I thought the same thing when I got that issue. I couldn't believe that they had left it out. I almost wrote a letter to the editor to complain but then I got lazy and took a nap instead.

The best free game I've played on the internet has to be warfish. It's a turn-based Risk game, you get an email when it's your turn in the game. I've played hundreds of games already and it hasn't gotten old. It's probably the simplest form of Risk that I've played, but there are so many options - it's awesome (optional rules, different world maps, etc). I'm suprised it's not on this list. Well, for one thing, it's invite-only (you can only create an account if someone invites you to a game). If anyone is interested in a game - let me know. This game is probably the web's best kept secret.

Thanks for the disappointment, Joyqtiq. For a minute I thought someone finally made a game about the best movie ever: Pee-Wee's Big Adventure.
... I'm still not sure what the heck that picture has to do with 101 free games, unless one is about one man's journey to find his stolen bike.

Wait, is Kingdom of Loathing not on that list?

This is surely among the greatest free quasi-MMO rpgs out there, if only for the 1000+ pop-culture references.

It's times like this when I almost wish I had resisted the sexiness of a Mac.

My votes are for Ancient Domains of Mystery (ADoM), Mystery of Time and Space (MoTaS), and Spheres of Chaos. All are free and very easy to find. I listed them in alphabetical order, and it's also the order in the length of time required to beat each one (5 years, 10 hours, 10 minutes, in that order).
