Its not "TRUE HD" anyway. Just like Resistance. So they had a whole extra year to tune these games and its still not enough to get them in 1080p?! WEAK!

I thought the ORIGINAL release date for MotorStorm was "at launch". I haven't got a PS3, but the MotorStorm demo is a lot of fun. It does a great job of demonstrating the SIXAXIS' motion-sensing capabilities. My worries about the game are that it seems a bit too one-demensional. Racing in the dirt can be fun, but it can get old very fast. Hopefully the delay will help them iron out online functionality so that the promise of racing your friends will be enough to make this game worth spending $60 on.

"Oh shit! The garbage we released in Japan isn't going to fly at all. We better take the time to add some potential to this game!!" I'd be surpised to say the least if it's any better in the spring. With the framerates as they are now, multiplayer should be a joke. Enjoy the potential.

Between this and Heavenly Sword being pushed to Summer '07 (rumor!), I'm not sure that Sony is going to be able to fix the shitstorm they've got themselves in.

I played the demo of this on the PS3 kiosk at Best Buy. Does anyone know if the final version fixed the frame rate problems? It really seemed to drag in spots.

Hah, nice. This comes as a huge surprise!! I mean, when you have such a tried and true, well thought out, well planned, well executed and high adoption rate of the PS3 online service, it's quite a shocker to see a developer not embrace that service.

You know... I seem to recall two games for 360 being pushed all the way back until March, while Microsoft allowed pure shit like Blazing Angels to fly solo.

Sucks for Motorstorm? Yeah. But people love to forget Armored Core 4, Virtua Fighter 5, and Calling All Cars is coming soon. Also... it gets pushed back a freaking month! And this is an actually legitimate delay, unlike Nintendo with WiiPlay that keeps being pushed back because, god forbid, consumers have to choose between two tech demos turned full releases in January....

February, things start to pick up. Then it's steady releases until late summer. Beyond that, nothing has been confirmed.

I would rather have a Smugglers run sequal than motorstorm.

that being said, I played the demo and it reminds me alot of the first burnout in that its cool and fun, but hopefully future iterations really take it to another level.

So boring the way everyone has to diss every single story involving the PS3. I own all 3 "next gen" consoles and they're all good for different reasons. They all also have drawbacks. Go outside and get some air people.

At this point I definitely support Sony telling its developers to take their time and perfect their titles - the initial burst in which rushed games could have been effective to the sentiment surrounding the console is long past.

I do have to admit that a racing game in this day and age that doesn't have online multiplayer is almost beyond belief. These are not games that fare well with even only a 2-player split screen mode. You need that full TV, and having raced hundreds of laps online in PGR2 I can say that the game would have been worth significantly less without that functionality. Do NOT release this game without online multiplayer.

To answer post #9's question - Yes, the frame rate issues have been fixed. I played the demo at Target and Best Buy when the PS3 was launched and MotorStorm looked terrible because of the frame drops. But, I played it at CES this year and the game looks great and was very smooth...100% better. The load times were better too, especially when choosing the vehicle to use. I noticed that the next vehicle would just pop into place where the demo has a good amount of lag between vehicle selection and visual display of the vehicle. The CES demo had a bunch of vehicles to choose from and all the tracks were impressive. I am looking forward to this game. I hope online play is on par with the 360.

How could we forget Virtua Fighter 5? After all, it's coming to the 360 this summer.

And calling all cars? You sure you want to use that game to backup your PS3 decision? It looks like it could be played on Wii hardware.

They totally updated the demo version seen at many kiosk. The framerate, which I was sadly dissapointed at when first experienced in store, is totally fixed. The latest downloadable just screams. NO FRAMERATE ISSUES AT ALL. Runs BUTTERY SMOOTH.

O c'mon Skurl, if all you BillBobbing fanboys can take every opportunity to remind PS3 owners (I own all three so I could give a shit about the fanboy wars) that majority of their launch and march releases are either multiconsole or been on 360 for a couple months now, surely the same attack could be lobbied in favor of Virtua Fighter 5, right? After all, PS3 will have it as an exclusive four roughly 4-5 months... certainly within the realm of R6: Vegas and SC:DA territory...

And, incidently, Calling All Cars = David Jaffe. Aka, good game. Especially according to early impressions. And graphics, you're gonna bag on graphics? It's a fucking $10 game. I remind you of two words. These two words were pretty much the only thing keeping 360 going until GRAW and Oblivion dropped...

Geometry Wars.

I mentioned exclusives. If you want, I can throw up the complete list of games coming...

Well, any game that takes additional time in the real world and has a company that values quality over a public release date is fine with me. The demo rocks, play it every day and never had a glitch. Extremely impressed with the title that just scratches the surface of the retail release. The PS3 is very impressive and I am a X360 fanboy as you folk say.

I don't see what the big deal about this game is...the demo isn't even fun.

The only "fun" racing game anymore is Burnout...and I won't be purchasing the PS3 version, that's for sure.

Hopefully they are adding split-screen multiplayer and custom soundtracks. Those are two things that would make a huge difference. If you can have company over and they can play with you they are more likely to get involved and want to get a PS3 too. So put it in, Sony! Also, I can only listen to the same soundtrack so long (i.e. Burnout).

The game is incredibly fun though, runs great, looks great. Can't wait.

How long was Zelda TP delayed? 4 years.. then another month for the system that it was originally designed for. Oh, hey Metroid was suppose to be a launch too.. now you wont see it until Wii2.0. Where's Smash Bros Brawl.. another launch game.. oh yea, not until 08 as well. Wheres Mario Galaxy? Oh yea, 2008 as well.

Oh, poor Nintenbots, you have nothing, I guess you can replay ZTP over and over again.. but, hey you've been doing that since Zelda OoT. lol @ you

This game is frickin' awesome. I don't know why a bunch of haters have to waste their time talking about a game and console that they (supposedly) don't even care about.

If you've played the updated demo on the Playstation Store, you know that they've been tweaking the game for a long time -> better graphics, physics, and improved framerates. The version that was put into the Demo Kiosks is from TGS. It's hella old.

I know it is hard to imagine that your precious Sony could mess up such a HUGE lead in the console war, but they did. Now that you have a $600 piece of crap ,that will one day burst into flames and hopefully rid the world of your factless rambling nonsense, Just admit like the others in your situation that Sony hoodwinked you.
