Megaman Star Force gets equipped

Fans of the Barcode Battler and Megaman/Rockman, rejoice! TakaraTomy and Capcom have teamed up to bring Rockman Star Force players this odd contraption. Launching in Japan next month at ¥4,200 (US$35 in Earth Money), the Wave Scanner connects to the DS and interacts with Rockman Star Force Pegasus, Leo and Dragon by scanning collectible Rockman cards, which can then be used in any of Star Force's three constellations. It knackers the DS' portability, of course, but we have a nostalgic yearning for tabletop gameplay opportunities. This could be our first big chance since Game & Watch died.

Yay, Starforce that doesn't suck :P

Of course, there's obviously zero chance of that making it to the US in any official form... of course :(

i reckon megaman X series on the SNES were the best! especially X3 with all those upgrades and robots u could use... much better than the other Mega Man for other consoles.

i reckon Megaman sucks.
Earth money? That's not my earth money. Sounds like a form of currency that's weak against Pound Sterling to me, though I'm not quite sure.

"Star Force" only applies to the English name, it's Ryuusei no Rockman in Japan.

I think #4 needs a swift knee to the nuts. I'm English but, I find it much easier to work out how much shit costs from other currencies when compaired to Dollers, therefore it is Earth Money. I for one hail our Democratic American Overlords.
Also this sounds fucking sweet, but the chance of it getting to America are slim, and even slimmer getting to Europe.

yeah.... Because the smartest portable games have giant accessories attached to them...
Next up, Time Crisis for PSP. Just use the included nails to mount your PSP on a wall, connect your Guncon, stand 3 inches away, and shoot to your hearts content.
And yeah... I've gotta agree with the other commenters... MegaMan hasn't been relevant for a long time... 1-7 were great on the (S)NES, and the X series was good until there were timers and you could crouch (because the best thing to do with a game mechanic that's worked and sold strong for a decade is to overcomplicate it).

make new Megaman games, and make them 2-D Sidescrollers please.
Then make those portable.
The DS should import or copy the Megaman games for the PSP, those were awesome and best games for that system. Too bad I lost mine at the pawn shop, lol, still have the games though.

There's already a side scrolling megaman for the ds: http://ds.ign.com/articles/731/731859p1.html
