If you're a big book nut, you may recognize the name Darren Reid -- a well respected fantasy author who recently wrote the book Sword of Oz. We italicize it because it's also called a "next-gen book"... or you could call it an interactive epic fantasy e-book. Imagine a "choose your own adventure" style book, but you play it just as much as you read it. Yep. Anyway, the game/book is essentially a prequel to The Wizard of Oz, exploring Oz's "tragic" past... if you choose that adventure. This reminds me of those board games that came with a VHS tape -- anyone ever play the board game "Nightmare"? Where the tape somehow plays with you... it's pretty weird. Sword of Oz strikes me as something similar. It's a book, but it's a non-linear (probably text-based) game, also. It's interesting and something everyone should at least give one shot. Sword of Oz is available for the Wii, DS, PSP, PS3 and PC.
