Kojima hopes to develop for everything, ever
In a recent Gamepro interview, Hideo Kojima makes it clear that his aspirations involve more than just the Playstation 3. The Metal Gear designer notes that he eventually wants to develop for the Wii, the Xbox 360 (he's a fan of Gears of War, you know) and the "world-wide platform" that is the PC. "I want to do it. But our staff, especially the younger ones, don't so much like to work on the PC. If it was PC, we don't have to go into some crappy things with the first parties."Going by Kojima's earlier steak dinner and movie analogies, we suppose he can now be interpreted as a rabid film critic wandering about town, randomly bursting into houses and demanding delicious steaks. Of course, PC gaming needs to fit in there somewhere -- is it like leveling up your own livestock, shortly before slaughtering it and eating it alone?
Read the interview and make your own conclusions. Watch out for Kojima stating that "MGS4 is actually for the PS3 only so far."

Hideo looks kinda frumpy in that pic. Normally he's pretty fashion forward for a game developer.

#1 speaks truth! More fashion forward-ness in gaming! Otherwise... he talks about not upsetting Ken Kuturagi... Is the man threating developers now? Either way, I look forward to Metal Gear Franchise X: The RTS! Now that Kojima shows interest in PCs.

So far, Kojima? >:)
Nice little verbal slip you made there. :D

I'm waiting for an Amiga release from him, actually.

Personally I'm excited for his upcoming VirtualBoy title, Metal Gear Solid: Tactical Headache Simulator! With the long development cycles for today's VirtualBoy games, I don't think we'll see it for a few years though.

Or, you know, he's an eccentric, Sony-loving PS3 fanboy.

"Kojima: Actually, "replay value" is kind of the old thinking"
WTF? I'm very disppointed by the lack of replay value in most modern games. It's discouraging that someone like Hideo Kojima has no faith in replay value.

"Kojima: Actually, "replay value" is kind of the old thinking"
I agree with him 100%! I think what he means replay value in the old sense of the term. Why replay a single player campaign when you have two player campaigns and online gameplay? I think a better rephrase would be that replay value has evolved.

that's sucks again... He saying "MGS4 is actually for the PS3 only so far." He's really waste time work MGS4 on the PS3... then go to sign petition MSG4 must join in xbox 360 now
Diman @ Jan 22nd 2007 5:38PM
Maybe you don't have to deal with first parties that actually want to work with you, Kojima you still have to deal with the party called M$ and hunk of shit Windows. Good luck Kojima...

MGS 4 will never be on the 360. Get over it.
GoonieGooGoo @ Jan 22nd 2007 6:19PM
C'mon......we know MGS4 on XBOX 360.....lets hope it happens...(and let's be honest....it most likely will)
They would finally get the MGS online multiplayer correct with a service like XBL.
