I also hope that GRAW 2 is a lot like RB6:V. From the video's I've seen with the cover system I'm guessing it will be. Heres to hoping!

Now where do I find intelligent posts? People who are looking for more than juvenile fanboy comments must have options. Joystiq commentary has really gone down the tubes. Aren't we here to discuss games?

Seems to me that many people on here simply want to ensure that they spent their $600 US (doesn't matter if you bought a 360 or a PS3, they both cost a lot with online payments, High Def drive add-ons, Hard drive add-ons, shipping replacements and controllers. I don't think anyone really backed a losing side in this next gen - the consoles cater to different crowds. The PS3 is for the generation of gamers who want more than just a console that plays DVDs (Music, Wifi, Web browsing, Blu-Ray, Photos, HDMI connetors), the Wii is the new iPod - trendy, slick and well designed and the 360 is your all round stalwart workhorse - Nothing innovative (aside from Live which they did a sweet job on) yet no major strikes against it.

It also seems that all the fanboys are willing to spread any number of lies to make themselves feel like they chose the right console and it seems that Joystiq likes to feed that fear by putting out some questionable journalistic material. The real winners here are Joystiq since they get the emotional traffic and potentially a lot of banner clicks. Give us some decent and balanced reporting.. this doesn't have to be the web version of the Fox network.

Lest us not forget that GRAW for the 360 was delayed about 5 months as well... this will be about the same delay as that.

I would like to buy and try it for the PS3, but the truth is, the core group I play with (~12 people) has a 360, and only 4 of them have bought a PS3... So unless there's amazing exclusive content, I would literally be 'shooting myself in the foot,' since no one else would own it to shoot me.

And I agree with the above post that UBI had better update GRAW with the superior speed, precision, weapons changing, and cover system from their own Rainbow 6:Vegas... GRAW feels old now with the 'Gears of War' style 'sticky' cover system... Vegas 'Left Trigger' cover system is UNTOUCHABLE...

Another day and another PS3 delay with no trouble on the 360 side of development. Pattern starting to show itself?

Password activation & 360, FTW!!!!

No new PS3 games for the last 3 weeks. Well, at least VF5 has gone gold.

I didn't like the PC version of GRAW, but I got the 360 version free with the 360 I picked up this week. Perhaps I'll like it better on the system it was designed for...

Definitely can't wait for this game, I see a pattern here though. The difficulty of programming for the PS3 is going to cause some delays and create more of these so-called "timed exclusives." Should be interesting though, can't wait for the demo to hit Live.

What a shock - the ps3 being expensive and hard to design for delays another game. That is the most expensive paperweight in history.

@62: The 360 version was so much better. The pc version had me wanting to kill myself. I played it for a few days and went back to the 360 for it. What a sad job they did there.

don't hold your breath fellas.

remember, the Recon and Rainbow Six teams are totally different teams.

and Recon (along with Splinter Cell), have separate teams (and technology)between singleplayer and multiplayer. thats why there was NO cover system at all in last year's GRAW. different engine entirely, unlike Vegas's using Unreal for both.

last year Ubi used an overseas team called Tiwak to make a custom next gen engine from scratch for the GRAW singleplayer, and it was truly jaw dropping. the multiplayer while still nice, was still just an uprezzed version of the old gen Recons.

Ubi said they have the engine now, and have dropped Tiwak which kind of concerns me. first off, Tiwak really rocked that engine, it was absolutely gorgeous. more importantly, it probably means they didn't make a multiplayer version of it and we'll still be playing coverless, last gen multiplayer like we did on xbox and GRAW1.

i hope i'm wrong.

i'm also torn, because while i love RS: Vegas's left trigger cover system, i also REALLY love GRAW's left trigger slowed down "aim focus". it just feels more like what real soldiers do - it's blanked everyone's mind, but that little known game you may have heard of, GEARS OF WAR ripped it off straight from Recon!
