New PSone games hit Japanese PlayStation Store

Sony has made a new batch of six PSone games available for download (and subsequent PSP play) from the PS3's Japanese PlayStation Store. As usual, all titles are priced at ¥525 (US$4.30). Two of the games released yesterday have already been available in North America for some time -- namely, Crash Bandicoot and Rally Cross -- but the remaining four titles are exclusive to Japan. They are: - A.I.V. Evolution Global (city railway management from Artdink)
- Logic Mahjong (a mahjong game by Nippon Ichi)
- Spectral Force (the first game in Idea Factory's strategy RPG series)
- Vampire: Legend of the Bloodsuckers (an isometric action-RPG by Artdink)

soooo....why the hell can't I play these downloaded games on my ps3?? I don't want to buy a PSP!!!!!!!!!! Stupid Sony!!
ps- not that i really want to play most of these ps1 games anyway, just the point that if i wanted to, i can't....

I was a big fan of MK and MK64 back in the day.. but, when i played MK64 a few weeks ago (on an N64).. it just wasnt doing it for me. I mean, automatic lightning bolts when you're in 8th place... ughh.
Anyways, my nephews (the ones i handed down the n64 to) think its a blast.

Isn't this pointless to make a new story about? Anyone who cares/uses their PSP so much that they would download one of these games already has the 3.02B (or whatever the newest one is) firmware that allows anyone to put their own PS1 games on their PSP , and compress it.
I just don't know who would really waste money on these PS1 downloads at this point.

yup, 3.03oe-a and popstation. Ripping PS1 games I already own to play on my PSP. funny, rally cross is one of the games that I own that I ripped... that game had fun "physics" if you could call it that!

Anyone else keep getting the feeling that Sony could give a shit less about its US customers? I'm really starting to wonder if we'll even see Tekken before Motorstorm...

so... when is this site going to report on the PS3's new firmware that fixes the PS2 bugs? The update that came out about 2 days ago? After how much complaining they have been doing, you would think that it would be big news.

I agree with #8.....
My PS3 = PAPERWEIGHT SUPREME 3
(paperweight #1 = N64, paperweight #2 = PSP)
You would figure SONY would focus on the market that has sold the most PS3s and actually give us some content instead of posting pictures of PGR3 as GT HD on connect.com.
