Let's not kid ourselves.
The graphics on a Wii game with that detailed of controls would NEVER look that good.

PS: The move where he pulls the Wiimote and Nunchuck apart (move #4) looks like it's basically designed to snap the cord between the two. BAD IDEA.

I'm Nintendo is smart, they will work something out with Lucas to produce a Star Wars game for the Wii. I am pretty confident they are working on a Star Wars title.

He shouldn't have used that footage, pushing junk and making shockwaves is far from the reason everyone wants a Wii Star Wars game, everyone just wants to swing a dang LIGHTSABER!

Why Not?

I belive the company that holds the Star Wars licence has no interest in devolping games for the Wii. Sad but true.

Hmm... wasn't there already a Star Wars arcade game with a fake lightsaber controller? It was pretty awful.

Anyway, I don't see how game balance can be maintained, here. Big, powerful moves, no mêlée, multiplayer would be impossible... It wouldn't be much of a game unless there was a limit to how much "force" you could use in a given time frame.

Besides, if being a Jedi was all about throwing things around, why did they have so many lightsaber battles in the movie? Yet another concept that looks cool in a demo, but probably wouldn't work well in practice.

Actually, that footage is from E3. It was meant to show of LucasArts' new physics and real-substance engines they are going to be using in their next gen games. There's already been an announcement of a Star Wars game in production (shown), and a Indiana Jones game in production (Indiana Jones 4 anyone?). Hope this answers some questions.

im not criticizing or joining it and i like star wars but not exactly play and love it i like that you can do those moves its just i would like it to be more than just a lightsaber and jedi game how about like a RPG maybe add a little oomph with guns and stuff like that choose your path stuff you know what i mean

anyway its just what i think because the ones they made with role playing games and choose your path is great but add stuff because i dont want to be a jedi i want to join the jedis and fight with them as a team not become one be like their infantry and things like if you know what i mean its a little blurry what im saying but if you understand it good.

I have to say I enjoyed the clip but, come on! All that trouble he went to and he didn't demonstrate the one freaking thing we've all been waiting for???

A simple slash of the wii-mote coupled with sound effects is all he needed to add.

Talk about missing the boat.
