Im guessing what epic will do is what they did on the PC, they gathered the best 15-20 customs maps (the patch was about 300mbs or so) and gave them to the PC community for free.

What im guessing is that theyll do the same and send it off to MS for certification and do it that way. I mean geez, if they pulled this off the longetivity of UT3 on a console would be incredible.

Don't forget about XNA! That is after all where they say you can make your own games/mods and add them to your x360. As it is now you can add in games you make to your x360 right NOW, but not mods. Yet that can soon change if more games like this add in support for mods.

Lol XNA? guys you really miss the point, the current release is the xna creators club, wich is the 49/99$ subscription.

The reason this is now confirmed for UT3 is because microsoft announced a month or so ago that they will be launching a FREE "youtube of games" for the 360 where anyone can download and share addons and other nifty things... it was supposed to be rolled out later this year....

Now that the free content distribution is confirmed and on its way come end of 2007 its ok for Epic to move on with ut3 for the 360.
