I like the controls in Wii Boxing, they just need to translate onto the screen better.

The idea behind the controls in Wii Boxing is good, but you end up hitting air far too frequently. Even though it should be one of the most funnest games in Wii Sports, boxing just ends up being a flail-fest since nobody can get any real accuracy behind their punches.

Having both Wii boxing controls and standard NES controls would be good.

The Wii Boxing controls might actual translate a lot better in punch-out, since there is really only 4 varities of punches, plus super-punch.

First off, I'd still rather have a new Kid Icarus than a new Punch Out...

That said, they need to fine-tune the hell out of the Wii Sports boxing controls, first and foremost. Most of the punches don't register.

I'd also like to see them release a wire that lets you daisy-chain two Wiimotes together, rather than use the nunchuck, which is less accurate for gauging movement, as I understand it.

I think that a Wii sports style Punch-Out would be great. I don't know what the complaints about the Wii Boxing controls are about. Yeah, some of the punches don't register but is it you or the game. My skill level is over 1700 in Boxing. I did that by learning to "play the game." So unless you are a pro-boxer and know how your punches should land, just be quite and learn how to play the game. You might just have fun!

Trademark, not patent. Big difference.

Still, it is good to see that there may be more "bigger" versions if the Wii Sports games in the works.

i had this idea a couple days ago and i took the libery of writing my own script for GlovePIE so i can use Wii Sports Boxing on Mike Tysons Punchout.
i wasn't too satisfied on the outcome.
only because reaction time was bad.

Personal experience, i do believe that the Nunchuck is less sensitive, but as long as you time your punches well, i haven't found that much problem in it

Nintendo needs this, good for the Wii's image, it wouldn't be a "party" game after the manner of Raving Rabbids or Wario Ware, but it would be a comprehensive multiplayer experience of a realistic game that hasn't been seen since RockStars Table Tennis

ive been drooling for this game since i played wii boxing. i used to think the controls on the wii boxing were bad too, but if you do the training mode; you get the hang of it. it actually works very well.

No need for a daisy-chain. They are both wireless, it could just be programed to read two controllers from one person. I hope to see more games use two wii remotes on one player.

a new kid icarus would certainly be nice, or even the old kid icarus would definitley be the best game on the vc.

As I've read, Wii Boxing has a good control scheme, but it hasn't a lot of movements.
I would like a game with the same control scheme, but with so much moves that it looks like the boxer's gloves move as same as your hands.

The controls need to be pretty tight, and like previous games, everything needs to be black and white. You're either ducking or you're not, you're dodging or you're not. You punch up with your right or left, down with right or left, and either a special punch or not. Quite frankly, I love playing this on the SNES controller due to the simplicity. It's not you're basic "button masher", it takes skill. Wii Boxing is a "button masher" in my opinion, but with two idiots swinging away hoping to win. There's no skill needed. You just need ADHD.

Some people punch way to fast for it to register every punch. You cant throw a right jab if you are in the middle of a cross.

That being said, how do you throw crosses? It seems to do it at random.

I think a rather cool control scheme would be to have you still punch with your hands, but have the buttons do things to. Like punch is jab, A+punch is right cross, B+punch is uppercut. Something like that. If they can have it tell when you are throwing each one, even better, but wii sports boxing has not been an indicator of that.
