Telltale looking for Wii programmer, Sam & Max far behind?
Telltale Games is looking for a Wii systems programmer with a "love of adventure games." So the obvious deduction is that Sam & Max are headed to Wii, right? Probably. But Telltale forum administrator Jake is quick to remind us, "We haven't made any announcements about why we're hiring a Wii developer, and we really really haven't said that we're working on a Sam & Max game for the Wii." Guess Telltale is still rounding up the last of the gigantic trumpets. Good luck scoring those cherubs, though...

I might as well say it:
I really admire Telltale's business acumen.

Please Rymix, don't use the word acumen.

As a translation, I think this means they know the fanbase wants Sam & Max on the Wii, and they think it's a decent idea, but they want to make sure they can do it right before announcing such a game.
Which is completely counter to how the video game industry tends to work, but Telltale deserves kudos for it.

Sam and Max on a console (Wii as an obvious choice, of course). Now that would make even me commit a serious malfeasance.

I guess we'll hear more about this if Nintendo open up a new games section for the VC as expected at GDC. With any luck, Sam & Max will be among the example ideas shown - or at least, that's the way my fingers are crossed.
