well i think that any game staring Jean Claude Van Dame would be the best game ever! the only way to make it better would be to somehow include Dolph Lundgren!

His punishment for such a unspeakable thing is to watch the Dead or Alive movie.

A very nice find of a post. Very interesting read, even though I previously was unaware this existed. Where in the hell was I?

Street Fighter the movie (and arcade game) is one of the worst moments in video game history. As a Street Fighter 2 veteran (Anything after SF2:Turbo sucked) I can say I am ashamed and embarrassed. I wish we had canning laws like they do in Malaysia, because this guy gets my vote.

This is making for an excellent read, not even done yet, had to thank you for posting this, makes me pity the guy when reading stuff like "Nobody loved Street Fighter more than me, and there I was: partly responsible for one of the most reviled games in history. I'm not proud of the game by any means, and the wasted opportunity truly does haunt me to this day."

(Put this up on digg. http://digg.com/gaming_news/Dev_tells_all_Street_Fighter_The_Movie_The_Game Also, in a similar vein, a Nintendo employee did a tell all type forum that is worth reading http://digg.com/gaming_news/Inside_the_Mushroom_Kingdom_Stories_from_Nintendo )

Wow, I have been following this since his first post. I was even going to write about it in my blog and in my column, but you guys beat me to it! Alan is a really cool guy though, he had some really great ideas that unfortunately didn't work out. Good to see some SRKers on the 'stiq.

Also, poster #4, I wouldn't call you a veteran, I'd call you a dinosaur. But kudos for you for keeping that Turbo scene alive, how 'bout we have some money matches!

WOW! It was awesome to read that thread, Alan Noon is my new hero! I thought the part about how they supposedly were buying the same video capture card as Midway, but they couldn't get good frames into the computer unless the actors moved in slow motion was interesting and explains a lot of the jerkyness compared to MKII.

P.S. Don't be a hater on this dude until you read what he actually says about making the game.
