Ill Trooper, your an illidiot (just kidding, it sounded good in my head so I had to say it).

The demos of games you listed are Sony Studio games, so that is why they have demoes up.

No way Ubisoft (aka, not Sony) is going to pay to set up servers to get their demo out there.

If Sony does offer up server support, then expect a demo.

Believe me, this trend will continue on the PS3 unless Sony foots the bill.

Explain one thing to me: when game demo downloads and multiplayers are free on PC, why does it need a charge on 360? Where is the "choice" that 360 is supposed to offer? If its a better service - let us have a free version where I can just hook up and play and download.
"No way Ubisoft (aka, not Sony) is going to pay to set up servers to get their demo out there"
Its a nice arrangement - Developers get out of the paltry costs and effort required for hosting server, MS gets a massive cut (over the life of the console, it adds up to almost as much as the console price), and the PS3 gets badmouthed for not being part of the scheme.
Maybe Sony should have taken some tips from the competition - take a cheap processor and graphics card, add some motion control like the Wii, cut costs like the 360 even if it ends up overheating and noisy, and cut out stuff like backward compatibility, Hard drives, HDMI, HD, multiplayer for which charge extra and the customer ends up paying 3 times as much eventually.

RFOM:

-(which is actually SUPERIOR to the PS3 - limited video memory available, cheap video card - cheap where it matters,so Sony cheaps out on the important gaming components, but puts in Blu-ray CRAP and ups the price--- I guess they were RIGHT about that plan - machines ARE FLYING off the shelves...NOT..LOL)

even if it ends up overheating and noisy, and cut out stuff like backward compatibility,
-(360 has excellent BC - of the dozen games I've got still, 8 are BC - so no biggie (and to be honest, I've only played Halo2, Metal Arms and Serious Sam - WAY too many good 360 games to be wasting time on BC)

Hard drives, HDMI, HD, multiplayer for which charge extra and the customer ends up paying 3 times as much eventually.
-(Got a Hard Drive, HDMI and HD I dont want (or need since I've already got Digital HD Cable on Tivo, so I can record/pirate all HD thats on the 298 channels...LOL - 3 times as much.. I Dont think so Tim (old Tim Allen reference..) After 5 years of the best online experience there is at only $50/yr, its only $250 more which puts it even with the PS3in cost but not with the PS3's CRAPPY online and NO games (losing exclusives)...

Whatever... CAPTAIN PLANET!!!!..

Remember kiddies.... "PAY BEYOND"...

ha. "lil" trooper. but he's right. it's a mix of a lot things behind the scenes we'll never be totally aware of.

guaranteed the PS3 port of GRAW isn't ready. guess what's even LESS ready?

PSN itself.

technologically (APIs, features, framework), logistically (servers, bandwidth, customer service), and politically (dev relations). Sony has a LOT of catching up to do, and that's why the only thing up now is 1st party.

for instance, where's the Rainbow 6 demo? it's based on Unreal engine, which is already ported over to PS3 (unlike GRAW's custom Tiwak engine)it's been out for months on Live...Sony is the bottleneck.
