“I engaged an enemy chopper at a range of ____ meters. The target immediately erupted into flames. Both vehicle and rider were eliminated.”

Could this mean that we will see a helo in halo 3? It is possible this quote means nothing, but it would be neat to see new types of aerial vehicles.

Anyone else notice the frequent and seemingly intentional mentions of morale? i have a feeling the morale will effect how well your allies fight and how prone the convenat are to fleeing

I bought Halo 2 last night to participate in this. I figure it's half the price of Crackdown, plus everybody I know plays it.

Part of me wants to avoid playing the beta so that I can get the untainted experience of the final release. But who knows, maybe I'll break down and try my luck at the rule of 3 promo anyway.

"Much like the targeting laser for GOW's Hammer of Dawn, this can be a terrifying experience for the enemy."

If you've played multiplayer GoW, you will know that the Hammer of Dawn's laser is not visible by enemies when you are painting. The only thing they see is when the hammer is about to fire. It's a surprise weapon as the enemy never knows where it's coming from.

NOOB. :)

Powering up is one thing, seeing the laser so you know where it's going to strike, as read in your post, is another thing.

hmm.. is anyone else afraid this will be too powerful? i hate the locking rockets as it is and they aren't even guaranteed to kill the passengers. this is going to be more accurate and ensures all of a vehicle's crew is eliminated. Get ready for another weapon to earn the suffix '-whore' (sniper-whore, sword-whore, rocket-whore, etc..)

Yes the triangulation of the satelites over head can be heard in gears of war as three solid beeps. He could also be refering to the pillar that comes from the sky that follows you around as you run away from the hammer.

I may be a little lost BUT what is a MAULER

“My spotter positively identified the local bravo kilo sub-chieftain. I engaged the target at meters. The shot burned an approximately diameter hole through the target and severely damaged the mauler he had just dismounted.”

New Vehicle?
Most of the italisized words look like hints

Someone already stated Chopper

There is also Drones maybe they're here in this game
